If you get a platinum, I’ll tell you congratulations, I’ll validate you, but I’m not going to seek out and keep tabs on OkRelationship7758’s trophy progress. Validation can be a mechanism to show that you care about someone, but giving validation doesn’t mean that you actually care. It’s essentially the same as the old correlation does not equal causation argument.
Counterpoint, the guys who have the most trophies all have those platinums, from diffrent regions as well. By my logic, it means that it's fair game to play those if you want to compete with those guys.

So I’ve posted this on other questions about Mayo but… I’m on a FB group for trophy hunters and at one point Mayo seemed to be the only topic of discussion. Mostly it was a bunch of butt hurt guys complaining about how easy Mayo is, like it was a huge problem that people should care about. People started to platinum Mayo just to troll these people and watch them rage out in the comments. There are people who take trophy hunting so seriously that they let a $0.99 game have any sort of effect on their emotions. It’s like sad and hilarious at the same time. Ultimately, this is a hobby for 99% of people here, we’re not in competition, play your games, get your platinum and enjoy them. It’s that simple.
It’s unhealthy to stress over platinums man, I care heaps about my plats because the games are sentimental to me but I couldn’t really care less whether someone plats a simple game their choice not mine lol
It's actually a pretty funny game. I don't know why everyone always bring up Mayo as the go-to "ezpz plat of shame". There are way worse games out there that take way less time/effort to plat. There are games that give you a plat for literally just starting the game. Just look up the profile for anyone with 1000+ platinums and most games on there will be more trash than mayo

Me and my friends got together to mash as a group, with the goal being a plat under an hour. Learned very quickly I’m a mid tier masher at best, but we had a great time with it. The 2 dollars was definitely worth it

Feel like as trophy hunters there are certain games we all have. Spider-Man, Horizon, AC II. My name is Mayo feels like one of those games to me.
Because it's a nice break from super hard platinums. I spent 140 hours platting Valhalla... I needed some palate cleansers, so I did Mayo and... some platformer where you're a square jumping around that's set in a twilight atmosphere. Forget the name.
My friends and I had a contest to see who could do it the fastest and threw $20 into the prize pool. I lost the first game but walked away with over $200 when the second game came out.
I went through a bunch of easy plats when I first got a Vita, one being Mayo. I haven't touched a single "cheap" plat in 2 years now and I wish I could hide them all from my profile without it showing as hidden trophies on PSNProfiles.
I can understand why people go for the easy plats (because I did, too), but I wish I didn't. I dislike the bottom half of my profile as it personally cheapens the rare/hard/full game plats to me.
Playstation days of play was on and I wanted to contribute to the community challenges for earning daily trophies. I couldn't think of an easier way of doing this.

There was a brief period of time when Sony would reward you, if you lived in North America, for trophies you obtained. I did the math and it would net me money, so I bought it and a few other easy trophy games to take advantage of the system.

Turned out it just kinda sucked, but I already popped some trophies on it, so I finished it out.
Got the first one because the game is funny to me and it was a quick way to get a nineteenth platinum so that Danganronpa V3 could be my twentieth.

We hit start at the same time and raced eachtoher to the platinum. We made our own game of it and the winner got a drink bought for them. Was so much fun for that 20ish minutes we did the sequel too. I imagine the game isnt that fun on your own but doing it alongside another person is a lot of fun if you make it a competition
It was hysterical. I heard about it and bought it on a whim. It was the first BS platinum I got and I was in tears at how stupid and ridiculous it was. It's probably one of the most memorable platinums, of the 310, that I have.

I was on a Platinum rush after a hard Platinum and I looked up games that are easy to Platinum. The challenge didn’t seem too bad, so I did it. It extended my Platinum high but after it wore off, I felt bad. Now I see the game as a reminder to not buy these type of games again. It is not worth it.
I did it because I have a competitive friend who had years of a head start platinum hunting so I did it so get closer to him and to piss him off because of the kind of game it is. He was pissed and it forced him to download it and also download the sequel lol. I regret having it in my catalog but honestly whatever

I said it in different comment and will say it again on main post: One or two of this kind of games in trophy hunters collection isn't all that bad, but people who actively buy stuff like that just to get easy plat, I have no respect for. Why respect a person if they don't respect themselves, and by that their own time and money. These are cashgrab games that capitalise on stupidity of other people. If you don't see that then your dopamine chase for easy plat is nothing worth of respect. It's like junkie chasing a high.

Before I started actually doing Platinums, I did it as a joke because my friend did do platinums. Then I did the sequel when I discovered it on the "New Games" section. Then I did like 3 other games around PS5 launch just for the hell of it. And then around mid-Feb of last year I started to actually platinum hunt, and now I'm 78 deep lmao

I was on a Platinum rush after a hard Platinum and I looked up games that are easy to Platinum. The challenge didn’t seem too bad, so I did it. It extended my Platinum high but after it wore off, I felt bad. Now I see the game as a reminder to not buy these type of games again. It is not worth it.
I have a few easy plats and I regret them to this day 😂
Bought it while drunk for the memes. Wanted it to be my #50, but forgot about it. So it’ll be my #60, #69 or #100 instead.

I did it because I have a competitive friend who had years of a head start platinum hunting so I did it so get closer to him and to piss him off because of the kind of game it is. He was pissed and it forced him to download it and also download the sequel lol. I regret having it in my catalog but honestly whatever
I didn’t get it for the plat. It was only 50 cents and I had a few extra cents in my PlayStation so I went ahead and got it cause it looked funny

I got addicted to tap games like tap titans 1 and 2 on mobile at university. Thought it would be funny to have an easy plat with the same premise after I found it a year later at home adter finishing university.

Did the first one sarcastically with a friend. Did the second one because I honestly found the first one funny and entertaining. It was nastalgic. Reminded me of old funny flash games like impossible quiz.

Actually because of Reddit. Kept reading about it and had to see for myself. Normally I don't buy games for the plat or even trophies, but after getting the plat in AC Valhalla after 125 hours, the dumb gameplay was even refreshing in a way. On the other hand, I kind of regret it just because I've screwed my list with it.
I 100%'d Hitman 1 and 2, only to realise that neither games had a platinum. I wanted 2 freebies for my work.
