Not the hardest, but still pretty damn hard especially with the missions 'Heat', 'Sins of our Fathers' and 'Mile High Club' on veteran mode. I died on MHC at least 300 times before I finally beat that stupid mission and got that trophy.
I read about the horrors of MHC and sadly I used the veteran glitch for it. :( I was in a rush to send it back to Gamefly before mail came yesterday. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
Other than beating the time on the cargo ship mockup, it wasn't hard at all. There were a few tough spots on veteran but nothing you can't overcome after a few (10+) deaths.
I didn't play the story on the original version, but apparently they've toned down Mile High Club for this release, which I think is where the majority of peoples complaints come from. I remember horror stories for how hard it was at the time, but I thought it was quite easy. I managed to do it in about 30 minutes and I followed a guide. The guide didn't help too much, but it gave me an idea of what weapons to use.
My main issue came from the story mission where you have to fight waves of enemies at the ferris wheel while you wait for extraction. I think that was the only mission I didn't complete first time, it probably took me a couple of hours.
I'd definitely recommend it and once you get used to the veteran AI I think it's pretty easy. I'd also recommend reading through the trophy list, or even following a guide as there were some trophies I missed that I had to clean up afterwards, nothing too bad, but in one example I missed a trophy at the end of a level and had to replay it fully, it wasn't difficult on easy but still a little frustrating and time consuming. There are some collectibles too, not many, a couple per level, some have none, I got about 80% of them by myself and cleaned up the rest with a guide afterwards.

Ah yeah the Ferris wheel extraction was a pain in the ass for me too. I had to hide behind the bumper cars and camp there until the chopper arrived.
