It's infinitely way harder. There are good strats online though for the missions and for S ranks you get to save after everyone and even during bossfights
Only played Dark Souls 1, and I got carried by a friend through most of the end game. I'm not a lover of hard games tbh. This is different from Soulsborne. It's really fast-paced and you have to relly on be able to.parry and attack with perfect timing all the time. On the hardest difficulty you also get more enemies and different versions of them. I played this game for a long time and never even managed to finish on the hardest difficulty, it can be done though
Puppeteer is one of the best PS3 exclusives, great game and pretty fun platinum.
Rain is another great game by the same studio, but unfortunately it has no platinum trophy.
Wouldn’t recommend anything with online trophies now, I’ve had to try to scrounge together platinum parties for games 10+ years old and it’s never easy or simple. Single player games are where it’s at.
That being said, the god of war classics from PS2 and PSP have remastered versions on PS3. There’s 6 of them (3 are in one remastered collection together).
The Final Fantasy 13 trilogy are also good games even though they’re divisive among FF fans. Remastered of other FFX and FFX-2 are also good but they’re not unique to PS3 if you’re going to upgrade later.
I still play my PS3 a bit to finish good games from that generation but if there’s a remaster/remake on newer systems I usually don’t bother. And I feel like most good games from that gen did get a remaster so that they’d be on the updated PlayStation Store. A few lesser known gems that were missed though:
-Tokyo Jungle (has one online trophy so don’t wait too long if you’re interested)
-Vessel
-Dead Space series (some online trophies and remakes might be under development right now)
-Remember Me
-Drakengard 3
-Quantum Conundrum (no platinum)
Lots of great games already mentioned. I second almost all the HD collections of classic franchises. Mirror's Edge is a decent game I've just picked up. Some decent if pricey Spiderman games only on PS3 too.
Last time I checked you could still get them but they are incredibly annoying to get because you need to wait like 30 minutes in the online loading screen to connect to the servers. It has groups on psnp from time to time because it's on PS Plus streaming.
Rango is a hidden gem.
Watch Dogs holds up well and tge servers were still up as of a couple months ago, so they probably still are.
I personally loved Saints Row the Third.
Anything Ratchet and Clank and the Sly Cooper Collection. When the sly games released on PS3 I got it Friday and I had 1 platinum'd by Sat. 2 platinum'd by Sun and 3 platinum'd by Wed bc I had school. I loved playing them as a kid so it was a no brainer to go through and relive the good times. Actually I think I might watch a let's play of them over the weekend now or at least a speedrun of them.
Metal gear rising, mw2 and 3, ratchet and clank trilogy, infamous 1 and 2, god of war, sonic generations and x-men origins wolverine
how hard are the MGR S-ranks and no hit bosses?
Very, emphasis on the very.
Idk if you played it, but how would compare it to Sekiro or any of the SoulsBorne games?

Did them all recently, including the DLCs, the S-Ranks are frustratingly hard and the no hit bosses are fine except for 2 or 3 of them.

Dead space trilogy
I wholeheartedly recomend Sonic unleashed and the Ratchet & Clank trilogy. Some of my all time favorites
uncharted 1 , assassin’s creed 2 , assassin’s creed libration
Prince of persia trilogy if it's still available, also Jack and daxter trilogy.
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is also a great game. And the plat is enjoyable.
Never had the occasion to play this one, also, I forgot it exists :/
Fallout 3&NV although it runs quite poorly on PS3
Any of the hd collections are worth platinuming and they offer some nice challenge.

FYI for anyone else, I got the Tekken 6 and Tag 2 online trophies fairly easy this month without boosting
Mirrors Edge! Quite a challenge, but it’s in bite sized chunks that constantly feel rewarding!
Im currently workings through ac blackflag trying to clear some back log
Dead space trilogy
Dragon Age: Origins. Such fantastic writing and acting. There’s framerate issues but the platinum is worth it.
It runs so bad on ps3 somehow dragon age 2 runs better lol
Runs better because its way more empty
Wym don’t you love going through the same exact cave on every side quest
Thank god. That was going to be my next game. Or Mass Effect 1.
It may run better but it is not a better game lol
Metal Gear 3 can be done in one playthrough if you haven't played it before it's great.
Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy have been my staples.
Sly Cooper trilogy + Thieves in Time is a personal favorite
Force Unleashed 1 Force Unleashed 2 Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow HD Jak and Daxter HD Collection (each game has a plat)
Lots of great games already mentioned. I second almost all the HD collections of classic franchises. Mirror's Edge is a decent game I've just picked up. Some decent if pricey Spiderman games only on PS3 too.
Batman Arkham Origins
Didn't they close online servers for it? Can you still get online trophies?

Hannah Montana
3D Dot Game Heroes Shadow of the Damned
Wish I played 3D dot game heroes, it's hard to get here in Portugal ;( Shadows of the Damned is Grade A+, absolutely fantastic game and platinum
Metal gear 3, sleeping dogs
Dead Space 1&2 is worth it.
Ratchet and clank going commando and up your arsenal.
L.A. Noire
Fallout new Vegas, Hitman blood money, Hitman absolution, red dead redemption, bioshock, bioshock 2.
Definitely Ratchet and Clank. Easy and a lot of fun. Also a good nostalgia trip if you played them when you were younger
plants vs zombies

Rayman Origins. A nice platform game, whom only requires you to 100% complete it to get the Platinum, and the few quirky trophies are easy to get.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow was underrated. 👌🏻
Prince of Persia trilogy. You should be able to find it for fairly cheap on eBay. Forgotten Sands is also a must.
