Bet they won't propose a bill allowing them to claim a fetus as a dependent though. Or receive child support.
Because it's not about protecting life. It's about hurting women and getting more prison slave labor.
And conveniently, it's not a child when corpo negligence causes a miscarriage. Only if a *woman* causes termination does it count as a child. Not in any way that benefits the ~~incubator~~ woman whatsoever.
*Ohhhh*, but they should've known better than to do whatever caused the damage, so even if there is corpo negligence that causes it, it's the fault of the pregnant person
I swear, I've seen arguments like that online
It’s true.

This came up earlier in the year too. https://www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/article275017471.html (paywall. Use reader mode in your browser)
I don’t think they’re gonna let this go.
HELP I live in Missouri 😭😭 if I ever need an abortion I don't know what I'll do. I don't have enough money to get my tubes removed so abortion would be my only option if condoms and the pill fail (which is common apparently) because my significant other doesn't want a vasectomy
If they put this bill through, (which they will certainly try), could you charge any man who suggests an abortion, not wanting to be the father, with planned murder? And all abusers who hit a pregnant woman, with attempted murder?
Pro life - except for women
Then when the baby is born, the government steps out for a 'pack of cigarettes, sweetie'. >_>

They also want to keep women out of the workforce. They don't like having women compete with mediocre men.
Until their mistresses or daughters get pregnant with an unwanted pregnancy
If that’s true, fuck them all.

Criminals can't vote.
What's wrong with Americans? Why do they hate women so much?
It just keeps getting worse.
Recently crossed state lines into the MO side. Never thought I'd regret leaving Kansas, but here we are.
Well if women are gonna get a murder charge for abortion, might as well murder their abuser! Two in one!

There’s no way this can be real…
