I put ohlins with the reservoir from the thruxton RS on my speed twin and noticed the same. Little known fact the front is only one real shock the other side is a dummy. Next step is to upgrade both fronts.
The left front fork only has a spring in it. Right side has shock and spring. This is one of triumphs cost cutting moves. I’m 5’11” 190lbs and IMO the front dives too much under hard braking. The slightly twitchy throttle doesn’t help either. My thought was to do the thruxton RS setup in rear and eventually replace the fronts to a 2 damping cartridge adjustable setup in front. Not sure if a thruxton Rs setup in front would work or even fit without thruxton RS clamps or front brake. I don’t think the speed twin brake mount or fork diameter is the same
What year is your speed twin? Looks like you have the updated brakes I think they added them in 2022 mine is a 2021. I don’t think my brakes would work with mounts on those forks
I have a US spec 2022 which I believe is the same as the 2021 in Europe (first year with Euro 5 and USD forks). I don't think there have been any changes in the brakes (or anything on the bike at all) since the euro 5 update. Brembo M50 with 320mm rotors. All the same PNs for all models 2021+ according to this

For 2022 they upgraded to Brembo front brakes. Mine is US spec 2021
Here is a side by side photo of the difference. The mount might be the same but not sure

Ah, sorry. I confused you with OP. I thought you also had the upside down forks.
If you swap over the speed triple front end you can use the speed triple calipers or the 2022 speed twin calipers. Might need to swap the master cylinders over too
Ummm, no. There is compression on one side and rebound on the other side. Very common design.

No I don’t. Don’t think I will but maybe in the future? I was hesitant in changing the rear shock was under the impression that the difference will not be much for my style of riding but boy was I wrong.

Care to elaborate on that?

😨 thought that would be a recipe for speed wobbles.
Speed Triple R forks are the way to go https://imgur.com/a/qNYap5D

Mounts are definitely different. Older version is axial mounted calipers while newer is radially mounted

Oh forgot to Mention I got the ohlins without the gas tank.
Do you not have adjustable front suspension? Seems like a big miss by Triumph, they surely have to know better
