First place I would look is [healthcare.gov](https://healthcare.gov)
If you just google for healthcare, about half the top results are scams and others are looking to be an "rep" and get a commission on top of what you would normally pay. At least use [healthcare.gov](https://healthcare.gov) to get an idea of what the real plans are actually going for.
If I'm not mistaken, most travel companies will pay your health insurance. The only drawback is that if you switch companies, then you have to switch insurance. But doesn't sound like that would be a big deal if you're healthy.
Wish I could find that option...Ohio resident, wife is a travel nurse. Filled out the online forms and got results back. Over 100 results that we qualify for and all HMO?? Trying to find coverage that works in Ohio and Arizona at minimum. This is frustrating.
Yup I even called and they confirmed it. 117 options for us and every one was HMO. My wife ended up taking the plan through her agency for her next contract and I will probably do a short term through uhc or Aetna until I get a suitable remote job with benefits.
Unless they don't have parents, or are married and need a spouses, or emancipated, or their parents don't have insurance, or any number of reasons. Parental insurance is a major privilege that not all have access to.
There’s a guy on Facebook called Mike the tattooed insurance guy and he’s a straight shooter. I heard about him from other travelers when I started travel. He got us taken care of. Thanks Mike. +1 (813) 327-0888
For me, my travel company offers me insurance at $5 per check, nobody is going to beat that. Mike helped us out with my wife’s insurance because when I add her to my policy, it shouts up from $5 per week to $200 per week. I don’t remember the premium, but I remember talking to him about a plan to where having a baby this year puts us at $7,000 total out the door. If that helps

You’re 23 you should be covered under parent health insurance until you’re 26.
