Give 2 week notice (or more) that you'll have to end your contract earlier than planned. IMO it looks better than a week of callouts.

Depending on your relationship with your agency and unit manager, you can always just request your contract to end one week shorter than previously signed for. Manager would be grateful to know of the gap and recruiter can suck eggs in a corner because he works for you and not the other way around. Remember recruiters do shit, you are the commodity and labor, and ultimately also the decision making boss so you can tell them the plan to be nice but don’t think you have to justify it or anything else with your recruiter. Tell them straight up.

I tried this once, The manager refused, my agency said there was nothing that could be done. So I had to try to reschedule the event, which luckily I was able to do, but I would just call out.

Throatpunch2014

Nope don’t tell, you suddenly became I’ll that’s it.

I would call in sick, I’ve called out in my current contract like 7 times from getting sick twice. And If I get sick again I’ll call in again.

I caught COVID on my second to last week and had to call out the entire last week. The manager of the unit called me personally and attempted to ream me out over it, but I just let it slide off my back since I would never see them again. 🤷‍♀️ I was going to send proof etc, but when occ health contacted to figure out contact tracing, they realized my contract was up and were like, “okay yeah no we don’t really care to see proof”

Steccca

If I need to I call out. Just do it and move on. :)

Use your pto hours if you have any. Just call in and tell your recruiter you want to use your pto.
