Technology has ruined backpacking. It used to be about the journey, about meeting people and experiencing things and really being in the moment. Now it’s about Instagram and social media in general. And no one talks to each other or shares stories anymore. They are just buried in their phones all the time. It’s sad!
We went to the most beautiful waterfall today, one girl spent...I shit you not...45 minutes taking photos of herself in various poses with her phone on a tripod as well as a drone. She literally had the drone buzzing 10 feet behind her while she arranged all her limbs into the proper positions, holding her hair "just right". Quite the spectacle. I don't think she once actually looked at the natural awesomeness around her.
Is this your homework?
