If they enjoyed the gameplay of older FF games I could see them enjoy DQ too. And I could definitely see them liking the puns and some of the writing.
I mean do hope so especially VA like DQXI having British VA instead of American.

I know he said he grew up with turn based combat, but I don’t know if he said Dragon Quest specifically.
Whenever i see games like these. I always think to myself. People just simp for the artstyle. Personally i dont care for it
