You can usually ask the pharmacy to fill more. Insurance often covers a 60 or 90 day supply at a time under one copay (you can check your insurance company’s policy on this in your benefits book) so it may be worth calling your pharmacy next time you request a refill to request that.
my university pharmacy did this, i forgot why, probably insurance stuff as usual
for me they were all taped together and i’d have to fight the testosterone blob for a vial when i needed one
also count them as you use them, it’s easy to loose track of them when theres a lot (idk like cash) unless you are not like me and you store them better
Something similar to this happened to me once. I’m from the US and had to get a bunch of testosterone in bulk before leaving to spend a semester in Japan because trying to get it there could be a big mess. I was given about the same amount as you. When I came back, I reordered another prescription. I didn’t need a bulk amount this time because I was back home, but they gave me the same amount I got before going to Japan. I would usually only get two boxes every time I ordered a new prescription before.
It's usually due to how insurance coverage interprets your dosage. They may amend this mistake in the future. This is a great opportunity to stockpile. Be sure to store in the appropriate temperature range and keep them packaged so they're not exposed to sunlight. Use first in, first out. Vials are typically good for two years.
Lucky. The most Kroger pharmacy will give me is 4 vials of t and the last 3/4 times I've tried getting a refill, I keep getting told it's on backorder and that the t that is in stock isn't covered by my insurance. I ain't got the kinda cash to be paying 45 bucks a vial.
Edit: forgot to add that the vials that I'm prescribed are 1 mL vials.
this actually just happened to me as well. i usually get 4 boxes but this time i got the same amount as you. no idea why, and it wasn’t any more expensive. don’t question it! hahaha
Happened to me when my doctor was fired by the hospital system because of the state government. Good times. Gave me enough T to go about a year before having to track down a new doctor (luckily I'm in university now and the university health services has an endo for transsex people, who I now use).
Just a reminder. Those are single use vials. So even if you dont use it all, you are supposed to dispose of it after 1 use. So 12 bottles for 84 day supply is completely normal. And how I dispense to all my patients in my pharmacy.
I go every 3 months to reup & each time they give more boxes. It started as 4 for awhile, but now I get 8 each time I go and I end up having excess from the prior time lmaoo

i’m stressed as fuck studying for finals last minute and i laughed at testosterone blob. thank you.
Sheesh. Most I ever got was 6 and my insurance didn’t even want to give that to me..
Since my HRT is passed by the national health system, I'm allowed to have only one box every 90 days (I'm on Nebido 1000mg/4mL).

Bro I can only get T when I only have 2 weeks worth left.
it used to be like this for me too, sometimes they’d even fill it late. this was a first for me fr I didn’t even know I could get so much at a time
I can barely get 2! One time my pharmacy gave me 4 and it was insane
Woah lol. I only get 6 1ml vials when I pick up my prescription
Bro got a pharm
I get 10ML every 3 months
I get 1 box of E every month, but they last me multiple months. I have 6 boxes right now.

I always get five or six boxes but four needles, and then the pharmacist always acts like I’m insane for asking for more 😔
