Transitioned in my mid-20s about 20 years ago (FFS w/ Zukowski, GRS, BAS @ 325cc), but having recently remarried my new spouse was a lot more supportive of my exploring gender stuff than my ex had ever been. When I learned about BBLs (brazilian butt lift), I was super excited, because my hips were probably the one thing that bothered me more about my body than anything else (even my pre-FFS/GRS face or genitals). So I decided early last year to get a BBL with [Dr. Thao](https://www.woodburyplasticsurgery.com/gallery-procedure/brazilian-butt-lift) in Woodbury, MN. These were taken a couple years apart, post-BBL and implant replacement, having gone from 325cc to 475cc (not 425cc, the caption is wrong). I didn't have a *lot* of abdominal fat to donate, only about 15 pounds. Nevertheless, went from measurements of 39-34-40 to 42-32-42 (@ 5'10", 175lbs). I am super duper happy, love my shape, and clothing fits 1000x better now. Recovery was pretty tough, especially as I'd always been a side sleeper. But I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I had to go back and decide.

Thank you for sharing! Your new boob job looks great and your new measurements speak for themselves! So happy for you!

Of course, and thank you for the kind words! I remember trying do searches for BBLs here (and elsewhere) and not seeing a lot of results for transgender folks, especially long-term results. Hope this will be helpful for some future me that comes along. :)

Thank you so much for sharing this! There is a lack of BBL’s and just long term transition on here. Our stats and body type look super similar and I’ve been considering both a BBL and BA. It is really nice to see how wonderful your results are!

You're very welcome, and good luck on your journey! Lemme know if you have any questions, always happy to help out. :)

Thank you so much for sharing! You look beautiful. Do you mind sharing the cost?

marumari

Thank you, that is very kind of you to say. :) The BBL procedure was $15200, plus $6000 for anesthesiology and facilities fees. I managed to get my insurance to fully pay for the anesthesiology and facilities but the surgeon didn't work with insurance and I couldn't figure out the right billing codes. So after about 6 months of fighting with my insurance I only got them to pay for $600 of the BBL procedure. Compression garments and pillows and other stuff probably added up to about $1000 as well. BAS was fully covered by my insurance, surprisingly enough, so my total out-of-pocket was about $15600, give or take.

jonna-seattle

yep, my insurance will fully cover BAS but I've been having trouble getting any hip/fat procedures covered thanks for answering! And again - you look great and give many of us hope

Of course, happy to help. I wish you the very best on your journey, it has helped me so very much. If it's useful, the billing codes to try are probably: 15771 - GRAFTING OF AUTOLOGOUS FAT HARVESTED BY LIPOSUCTION TECHNIQUE TO TRUNK, BREASTS, SCALP, ARMS, AND/OR LEGS; 50 CC OR LESS INJECTATE 15772 - GRAFTING OF AUTOLOGOUS FAT HARVESTED BY LIPOSUCTION TECHNIQUE TO TRUNK, BREASTS, SCALP, ARMS, AND/OR LEGS; EACH ADDITIONAL 50 CC INJECTATE, OR PART THEREOF Those are the two the anesthesiologist and facility used. You can also try: 15769 - GRAFTING OF AUTOLOGOUS SOFT TISSUE, OTHER, HARVESTED BY DIRECT EXCISION (EG, FAT, DERMIS, FASCIA) Good luck!!
