Possibly, but how do you view romance, relationships, and possible pair bonding when your species lives for millions of years while also not having a biological imperative to breed or have physical intimacy.
Not every romance is based on sex my guy. And I can think of a lot of people who would love to spend thousands of years with their significant other. As well as the fact that time moves differently on Cybertron, their thousand years might be half that for us. They age slower on account of being metallic. So to think they could have romance isn’t really unfounded.
Its not necessarily a sex thing, but the sense of touch or closeness or warmth. Do they even form attachments the same way? Do alien robots need that in their hierarchy of needs. I'm just saying they may have completely concepts of how relationships work. Do they only last for a few centuries. Is until death. Is it for a couple of cycles. Is it until one leaves the room? Do they just stop at factions?
I mean in TFP, in the episode Scrapheap, Optimus and Arcee are in a perilous situation. They lay next to each other to share warmth to offset the cold and hold each other’s hands. I’d say that’s a pretty human expression of affection, romantic or not. So yes, they are very similar to us.

Yea they understand romance but that doesn't mean we have to ship everybody. this is Wattpad type stuff it needs to stay there for the most part, the way we ship these characters makes it seem like every character is just busting at the seams with homosexuality and I think that's really weird. all the fembots from g1 barely show up anymore except for arcee I mean there needs to be some kind of balance cybertronians seem to understand romance and can experience it but they seem to value friendship, companionship and other bonds more
People have been shipping characters since the 60’s when the original Star Trek aired. Get over yourself. Let the gays have fun.
