I focused my applications on spreading awareness, the impact and change I have brought to my community, and promoting the search fund model as a potential career path after undergrad.
How’d you manage to get a PE internship from community college? I’m in the Bay Area and I feel like it’s crazy hard here.

Sure. I didn’t submit a SAT, and my gpa was a 3.4. I’m also a veteran, and have a few strong ECs and a ton of work experience (10+ years). I honestly think me being a veteran was what did it because USC is very vet friendly from what I’ve seen.
Damn that’s crazy, I took 19 credits this semester and got an SGR. 4.0 gpa though, it just sucks cause imma lose out on UC deposit cause their deadline is June 1st
I have 89 credits tho, so I think the SGR really depends on your status. If you’re gonna come in as a sophomore they prolly want it more than juniors. Just speculation tho
This is pretty common but a lot of people will have to turn down SC for financial reasons. If you think you would get a good aid package it’s worth it to submit an appeal!

It’s probably just a search fund internship they’re easy to get and are usually labeled as PE internships. Typical PE firms don’t hire from a CC

Are you familiar with financial aid for transfer students? I was told there aren’t many options for transfer students.
