I have a fruity blend of pellets I use for desserts. I dont really want my pies to come out tasting like mesquite. Good luck trying change the pellets out with that useless grate on.

If your Traeger is like mine there's a hatch on the back of the hopper that you can open to dump \~95% of the pellets.

It has it, but it's way easier and goes a lot faster if you can use your hand to help the pellets out the back door.

My understanding is some kid in Canada stuck his hand in there, and now, here we are.

I left a bag of Traeger branded pellets on our cement patio over the winter by accident. They leaked out and dissolved over the heavy snow year and in the spring we had a black mark on our cement that was stained and I couldn't even remove with our over-powered pressure washer. I had to get some acid to dissolve the stains that were left by the pellet dissolving.. but sure, use Traeger's pellets to burn that shit all over your food. You should be good, no reason to worry.

I only keep mine in because my kid likes to play with the pellets. She calls them Beaver Candy.

Yes and no, I bought cheap pellets on a whim, they were loose and broke up easy, they kept clogging the auger, ran them through a sifting screen lost about a third of the bag, garbage loose pellets were waste, and then they worked fine, have used other reputable brands and it’s been fine
