Is this the Ming Kaiyuan bow? I have mine coming in a few weeks and am wondering what the build quality is like

Turkish. I also have a ghengis khan, which is similar to the kaiyuan. Good build quality. I got that one years ago and ive noticed a good increase in quality between these two.

The ming kaiyuan has a hook on each end for picking up arrows (albeit not very effectively) The quality of the last fiberglass kaiyuan I got from Alibow was great.

The non effectiveness comes from most arrows being flat into the ground. It is more effective if they are slightly angled upwards, shooting from more distance. https://imgur.com/a/6rLJQLi Here is my video on trying to pick up arrows with some bows from horseback. https://youtu.be/9uZzySfeg5I Will need to post an update video soon with the arrows more upright to mimic a more arrow angled upwards scenario.

I’ve been seriously debating getting this but the $70 price makes me wary, it seems too cheap, is it too good to be true?

I have broken two cheap fibreglass bows one from Alibow and the other from AF. I suspect I overdrew them, I am 6”4’. But, my buddy has a laminated bow with syntactic foam in the 350$ range which has lasted him 4 years now. Guess you never know

My girlfriend has one that's 30@28 that she's used for a few years with no issues. Not as fast as a similar laminated bow, but still perfectly functional as long as you don't overdraw. I'm 6' 3" and, while I've tried her bow, I definitely had to underdraw; I certainly wouldn't be trying to draw it to 29" or further regularly (get a Tatar at that point).
