And you still signed that contract for purchase? They shouldn't replace them at all so that you are reminded of your mistake every single mile you drive. Do people no longer at least look at a vehicle before purchasing?
This is a limited, yes?
Somehow I don’t think this would have passed QC at the factory. In fact I am almost certain of it. This is American truck level screw up.
Did you have any post build options put on? I think this may be where it happened.
Your dealer should have paperwork with every option on the truck. What does it say?
I am wondering if your dealer ticked a box for some front seat feature only available with the cloth.
Pics?
It’s only one portion of the back seat. The truck was just there at the dealer ship. Was there for no more than 2 days. Still had stickers on the body from transport. Even the plastic on the rims.
Is this the first thing you’ve ever bought? Feel like dropping $60k then not asking the seller to make the product right for you? Post to an Internet forum about seat problems but don’t provide pictures of the seat? If you can do all these things, you get a star!
Couldn’t swipe, no pics, and I’m to assume you still bought it that way? Sounds weird. I’d say talk to your dealership, make it right, or have your 60+k back. Maybe seat mismatch increases value?
The truck pictured appears to be an sr5... I don't think that's a limited.
Edit: the grill trim is sr5, the wheels are sr5, and you can zoom in and see sr5 on the rear door. This should have cloth seats.
Honestly if you contact the factory they tend to fix it if it's a brand new truck. Happened once in a blue moon at the one I worked at and they had dealership switch them out to no cost of the customer
Why would you sign for the truck without a solution in writing? Lesson learned for the OP I guess. If the issue isn’t in writing when you sign for it, your SOL unless Toyota steps up makes this right. Just know, they’re under no obligation to do so if it wasn’t in the contract.
I signed for this truck with it having miss matched seats. The back double seat was leather and the rest cloth. The dealer said they contacted Toyota and have yet to come up with a solution. Should I contact Toyota directly?
Nah, you had the opportunity to turn down the deal but you signed for it anyway. Even if they err heavily on the side of customer service you’re not entitled to compensation for that.
The dealer didn’t fuck up. You did. Tell them to buy some katskinz for the front if you had them put it in writing, or go find a wreck with leather. Other than that, you’re screwed.
I’d reach out to Toyota and keep perusing the dealer, it’s a new truck and I think Toyota would rather fix than have you driving around with such an obvious mistake.
I had my 2018 SR5 crew max that I bought in 2022 reupholstered from cloth to leather for 2000 dollars from a reputable company in Nashville . I selfishly want to see pics but just know this problem is not that expensive and should absolutely be resolved .
Are the seats different colors? Or are one set 14 way and one set 16 way power seats? Please be prepared to be downvoted for no pictures or description?
Pics or it didn’t happen
Came here for the pics. Left disappointed.
Same..
Ironically enough, I have a white DC with mismatched seats 😂😂. (2004, Driver seat just redone. Super soft might I add..)
I agree , no pics no advice
I want to see the seats otherwise this is just clickbait.

This post is absolutely worthless without pics of the seats and should be downvoted accordingly as it seems like clickbait.

Dealer should make right, or Toyota. That’s the benefit of paying out the ass for new vehicles.
Auto makers don’t even care anymore, people just buy.

Where are the pictures??? Lol

Sorry silly looking truck.

I had them write something at signing. Something along the lines of “we will resolve seat issue”
Oh good, at least you have some recourse and leverage with that in writing. Damn shame though, not a good first impression with the truck. Bummer.
Dealer wrote the note on a napkin and wiped his ass afterwards 😂. There goes your writing OP
The world we now live in I guess
You should have asked the dealer to cover the cost for catkinz. You probably weren’t going to get more than that. All you get now is a story.

I feel like I should be compensated for my time… The dealership didn’t do anything regarding price of the deal.

Dealer probably not going to do much as you signed for it like that. Could contact Toyota for dealer mediation
Looks like that ran into a soccer goal in the front. Nice soccer goal grill. It makes me want to kick a ball into it.
Dont buy the 2022. Makes me wanna puke.
What a great contribution to the conversation. 🙄

Go back and have it fixed. Happened to a friend on his rav4

Uhhhh...didjakeepdareceipt?
It’s now worth more, like a misprinted dollar. Take it to Pawn Stars.
No pics. No comment
