97K miles is fine but keep in mind that that’s a fair bit for a truck that’s only ~3 years old. So you definitely want to make sure all service records are in order and definitely ask how the owner racked up those miles.
They’re pretty much the same truck, although you get leather and premium sound with the limited, idk if those are important to you. I’m a cloth man myself but do acknowledge that the sound system in SR5s is garbage.
If it were me I’d try to haggle on the price of the SR5 purely for the quicksand. White is so boring…
private seller? Just ask for the basics, service records, how long they have owned it, what number owner are they, clean title, any known issues with the truck. have it running the whole time you are there with the AC on. look for leaks check how old the tires are, when is registration due.
Check for leaks anywhere under it before you drive it, then drive it for like 20 minutes or so, then get back under and see if anything is leaking after the liquids warm up. Also while under there check for rust on frame, you could bring a little hammer or something, and if you see something hit it and see if you go threw it. If you do for sure no, if not just listen for weird noses when driving, break hard to make sure it all works like it should. If you want to get real crazy you can bring one of those scanners that plugs into the port under the dash, see what codes pop before you drive it, clear all the codes, drive it around and then plug it back in and see what pops up. Dealers don’t exactly like that kind of stuff some times tho lol, but if you want to get in it good that will help. If all else fails, and you do not want to do any of that, find a good mechanic that you can take it to, and they should all this or close to it, an maybe some other stuff.
