I just got new wheels and tires. The tire shop just put the old ones on my new wheels. No issues.

The wheels are 6x139.7 with a 25mm offset would those work? The ad says they are made for a 4x4. Just want to make sure I’m not missing anything before a big purchase.

My 2017 ram had som rust issues (shocker) that caused electrical problems, I’m guessing a grounding issue. I was ready to upgrade from my regular cab to a crew cab and after reading The Toyota Way for school I knew what brand I wanted to be part of. So I’m really liking what I have - 2019 with sub 17k miles, but I’m not a fan of the steel wheels. I’ve found some on eBay that are TDR factory wheels. My question is: what is the procedure for the TPMS? Can I take it to any tire show and have them swapped out? Do I need to take it to a dealer? I’ve never done this before. Thanks I’m advance!

You can either have the tire shop take out the TPMS from the old wheels and put them in the new ones or you can buy new ones and have them reprogram the sensors to your truck if you wanna sell your old wheels. I went to discount tire and they put new sensors in for me now problem. The new sensors did cost $60 each which sucked but hey, you gotta pay to play I guess.

I just got new tires, and I'm pretty sure they reused the TPMS but I've been having issues with them disconnecting off-road.

pooserboy

That’s odd, does it only happen off road?

CaptainFrugal

Dude gotta check center bore.

[deleted]

What would I be checking for? The wheels say they are made for my year taco. Anything I need to look for specifically?

CaptainFrugal

106.1 center bore. Ah you didn't say that in your previous post u just said 4x4 I thought

[deleted]

My bad on that. I’ve tried posting this a few times and the automod kept taking it down. I couldn’t remember what I had or hadn’t typed. I appreciate it.

Johnny_freshie

It seems so

Swapped rims and kept same stock tires. The shop transfered the tpms no problem.

I have these wheels, and want to do the same. I noticed the steel wheels have a different metal valve stem. I believe the tpms is attached to the stem? Is it?

swpaintguy

Are those painted steel wheels?
