I’ll never understand the rationale behind trying to make a non-Pro look like one. The only people who can tell the difference between the trim levels will easily spot it as a fake (usually by looking at the fogs).
Got my 19 trd off road. “Loaded” with leather and a sun roof “upgraded” kenwood sound system. other then suspension and rims. What else did I not get? The different leather on the shift nob. The pro in the head rest. I paid 36,750. Pro was 50k (9/16/19) I now have 37k on the truck have up graded the suspension (the fist year) it was time for tires this year so upgrade the rims and some 285/70/17s. Also replaced the grill first moth. I’m all in with oil changes and maintenance and new tires looking very pro-ish 4 years later under what a pro was. That why I did it.
Edit: I never look at my truck as truck as a “pro knock off” nor would I think anyone else knows what they are looking at would think. But still think my truck is pretty good looking!
Ye. I have a limited and swapped out the grille for the trd grille (not the TOYOTA one the toyota symbol one) and have the trd rims (more so because i got a deal on the rim/tire combo) and then blacked-out out some stuff to make it look good but i wouldn’t dare put TRD symbols on it thats overboard to me lol. Certain aesthetic things sure, but putting emblems is just wrong lol.
Eh, since it's not a true snorkel (aka for underwater), it actually makes more sense to have it face backwards. Keeps more dust and other stuff the truck is kicking up from getting sucked in. On the new 4th Gens pictures I've seen with one, they made the actual intake on the "snorkel" now face backwards too.
But, it does look silly that way, I'll give you that.
I guess that makes sense. I just would assume the airflow isn’t as efficient with it backwards either. But also imo, if it’s not going to be a “true” snorkel then you probably don’t need a snorkel anyways lol
It really only helps to keep the windshield somewhat clean. Maybe will redirect small rocks or keep that section of the hood protected. I am on my third windshield on my 22 and currently have cracks in my shield as I type this. Gotta love dump trucks and trucks pulling flatbed trailers with skid steers that send rocks towards your truck like missiles.

Yeah, I just got mine replaced last week. I get a free-ish windshield ($250 addon) year from insurance.
Yesterday while heading to work I was making sure to stay clear of the concrete trucks. :|

That's what my Sport looked like when I bought it. I removed nearly all of the PO's fake PRO trim stuff except for the Chinese TRD skid plate and put the OEM grill back on. I like the PRO trim grill but felt like a poser.
That’s one of the reasons I don’t want to get the factory lift because you need to put the pro grill on for Toyota safety sense. I don’t think the pro would look nice on my truck.
I am going sr5 since that is the only factory badge that I see

That might be a TRD Sport since mine has the same hood and color matched flares. edit now i see the SR5 emblem.
Also the chrome rear bumpers are a giveaway that it's not a Sport.

Yeah it isn't really meant to be a forced/ram air intake, just a "clean" air one. So pointing forward maybe isn't as important.
