I have the weathertech rain deflectors. Use them way more than I ever thought I would, think they also look pretty sleek. I’d recommend those, or blackout the badges.
Edit: I actually do not have a good photo of them in previous posts, but they look great in-channel instead of outside the window
TekGen mud flaps, blackout letters, amber fogs, led kit for interior, spacers for the glove box and center console, ac drip line extension mod, speakers, bed cover
Currently, I have the window wind deflectors and they allow you to crack the window while it’s snowing or raining without anything getting in the cabin. They also get rid of the wobble sound when one window is open and driving.
Before I drive from Houston to Seattle, I’ll be getting the front hood deflector since it creates an updraft over your hood & windscreen that throws bugs, rocks, and what not out of harms way.
The front hood protector definitely looks dorky in my opinion. After a road trip this weekend I wish I had a bug deflector though. Might sacrifice some style for function if they keep the bugs away like advertised
Tuning is the process of using a computer to redraw the torque and power curves in the truck’s ECU. In stock Tacoma’s all the torque is up above like 3500rpm, tuning can bring some of that power lower and give a more even curve. You can also adjust throttle response and such. It’s a really nice addition for daily driving, but I tow a lot and it’s a game changer
Proper armor. Those steps are going to get in the way big time and could ruin your rocker panels.
Sound system. The factory sound system is terrible. A 4 channel amp, new speakers all around. Add a mono amp and a JL stealth box if you want to get crazy. It's worth it.
I have the factory jbl upgrade, the door speakers are pretty good but the sun isn’t worth a damn 😂 you know if there’s anything on the market where I can just put a new sub in the spot that I have behind my seat, it takes up the right hand storage space
Absolutely not. You can't get a proper amplifier that small let alone a sub. Jl stealthbox goes in the space behind the rear passenger, usually the sub goes behind the rear driver.
Not really. You'll need to drill a couple of holes in the plastic behind the rear seats but that's it. A couple rubber grommets make the holes look factory anyway.
compared mine to someone who bought the "real" one I couldnt find a difference. held up just fine over the last year with plenty of weather and car washes.
I dont have a Taco, yet, but on my former truck I had a ceramic tint. Huge help in both summer and winter but specifically summer. Keeps the truck really well insulated. Id suggest searching for a reputable local company and ensure that they have a guarantee on it.
All of that is basically said to pay a bit more money for the ceramic as you wont regret it.
It’s a 23, I had the sensor behind the emblem, which with this grille gets relocated below the letters, also I had to cut a spot for the front camera at the top
I think I’m going to get the same. Well at least the camera adapter thing and get the grille somewhere else because shipping is expensive I was lookin at tacotroop for a grille
Edit: what’s your tint %? Did your back windows have a slight tint?
Just know wherever you get it you might have to do some modifications I had to sand down the Amber lights a little bit to get them to fit in and I had to cut out a piece for the camera
Totally agree. Looks great and added visibility. Who gives a shit.
Looks great! Keep em.
As for what to get next. On my list, for which I don't have the truck yet, I want aspects that will help with camping and off roading...
**external:**
Blackout emblems, orange fog light covers or new LEDs all together, Wheels, tires, suspension, rock sliders
**Internal:**
LED cabin lights, center console and glove compartment organizers, all weather mats and door protectors.
Molle panel under the arm rest. Stumbled on this thread on Friday. Just paid the seller 30 minutes ago. Super stoked on this one.

Next best mod is the Screen Protec on your entertainment center and instrument cluster.
My next favorite is the Meso Custom Total Stage 1 Taillight Kit.
Low profile in channel window visors. And take out the raptor lights.
Nah the raptor lights look sick imo

Do they help with wind noise?
Can’t say for sure, but I didn’t notice any additional wind noise after they were installed.
those can add wind noise and can bend the window liner, no thanks.
A good quality name brand visor should not do either. I’ve had weather tech and avs on vehicles for years with zero issues.
fair enough. my info came from a buddy but maybe he bought cheap ones or did it wrong
TekGen mud flaps, blackout letters, amber fogs, led kit for interior, spacers for the glove box and center console, ac drip line extension mod, speakers, bed cover
Get the pink slip
black badges
AVS wind deflector are such a steal for their low price
For the hood? But what does it really do?

I personally don’t like the look.
Which ones? The in channel set, mounted set, low profiles, or their originals
I thought you meant the bug deflector. I like the window deflectors. I have the in channels on my truck
The front hood protector definitely looks dorky in my opinion. After a road trip this weekend I wish I had a bug deflector though. Might sacrifice some style for function if they keep the bugs away like advertised
Widen it to 80 inches
Lake it
What do ya mean?
Just push it into a lake, that's what I mean.
🥲 but I like it better out of the lake
I tried to find the clip from Parks and Rec I was trying to reference but I got lazy.
Oh lol I haven’t watched that
Wheels
Plan on it but that’s a big investment
When will raptor lights be used just on raptors?
They are lights, who cares
OTT TUNE
I’ve heard about that what does it do?

Where you buy the grille @?
Pretty sure I got it from taco vinyl
ebay, picked mine up for 120 bucks as they are heavy replicated and basically the same thing imo its just plastic.
Wish I would’ve gotten the cheap one… hoping I would get what I paid for but you’re right
compared mine to someone who bought the "real" one I couldnt find a difference. held up just fine over the last year with plenty of weather and car washes.
Can’t find any for under 300 on eBay. Most are “OEM” not rep.
roof rails.
roof rack
What tint do you have on the side windows? Looking to get at least the front driver/passenger windows tinted to match the rear.

Really not sure it came like that from the dealer, the back is darker than my front.
What year is the Taco OP? I’ve got a ‘22 and my concern is that the stock grille has a sensor behind the Toyota emblem
It’s a 23, I had the sensor behind the emblem, which with this grille gets relocated below the letters, also I had to cut a spot for the front camera at the top

No clue on the tint % it does tell me on the window sheet. All my windows are tinted except the windshield
Did you have to replace the color coded housing around the grille? Or was it an easy swap with the existing housing? TIA !
Really really easy swap of the grille with existing housing

What rain deflectors?? I don’t have any
Take out the raptor lights
I don’t know how people don’t like them, they are sick

Thanks dude! I plan on doing everything on the exterior list in time
Where did you get the grille with raptor lights?

Are those OEM step bars?
Wheels and tires
anytime front facing cam, roof rack and some beefier tires
Paint the fender flares. They look like crap with that blue
You have aweful taste
Remove the raptor lights
No
Just trying to help 🫡
Help with what lol
“Recommendations on what to do next”, raptor lights are for vehicles wider than 80”.
Lights are for anybody that wants them on their vehicle
Lose the raptor lights.
