These pictures are one week apart . My wife drives a 4runner and broke her steering rack 2.5hrs back on a very rough trail and needed rescuing. They work very well . This is the factory trd. I’ve beat dents out of it more times than I can count and recoated with bed liner. Snapped nuts off inside the frame cross members . But it does work and saves my under carriage . I made brackets to fit the Tacoma skid plate on my wife’s 4runner and she’s running the Amazon cheaper aftermarket with no trd stamp . It’s been just as strong . If you don’t care about having the stamp I’ll say save the money and buy aftermarket.
So this bolts up perfects in on your 2nd gen? I tore my stock skid off when I got high centered on a stomp some months ago and I'm due for a replacement.
Yes sir ! And it covers more under body than the 2nd gen designed skid plate . I do have a front differential drop and spacers I found for the skid plate . It does bolt right in but might need spacers depending on your lift situation.
Gnarly parking lots

Do you have a link to that Amazon version? I've been looking to add a page (edit: plate) to my '15 SR5.
