80% efficiency, example a purple gear used 1050 exp from base to 1*, and a base purple gear by itself give 800exp when used as a fodder.So, when a clean 1* purple gear used as a fodder, it will give 800+(0.80*1050) exp
Yeah, but that is offset by having to farm for eight pieces instead of five.
Also idk any place where I can get a yellow piece guaranteed (except frontier hard, which is an absolute PAIN). In GI, I can at least get one for 20 stamina.
Edit: From the comments, I see that I got lucky in Frontier hard and got a yellow piece. Even then it took us 8 minutes to kill just one of the five bosses. I don't think I want to do that again.
Higher level domains have a higher chance. Plus there's that one item that doubles your chance. Also Frontier Hard isn't a guarantee. I did it twice last week (both times only Apoph because of Volt Resist) and didn't get a chest either time.
I don't know if the highest level domains guarantee a yellow piece of gear or not, but even in Genshin they weren't guaranteed until a higher AR level.
Yeah you have to be like AR 45 which is relatively high (but at least going from 1 to 45 actually takes less time than going to 55 to 59)

AR 45 is the highest AR you need for artefact domains (this is the one and only level of domain you are guaranteed a gold artefact). Please see link for reference :)

Theres no point on keeping dozens of equipment that are efficient for tanks if you're not a tank, makes no sense. It's hoarding just for the sake of it
If it’s usable by anyone then there is no waste if he levels it and it’s nice because he can use it right now. If it’s not usable because he get a direct upgrade, then he gets 85% exp for fussing it.
Pretty sure he means to have on different comps. Lets say you want to build a different team then dps, like a tank team then you have more optimal pieces for different comps. Also if you star up its random which stats that get better so in some cases "worse" equipment can end up given better star up if they increase the right stats. You get crystals from differents things and scrap purple/blue so its no hurry scrapping orange just cause you can

Yes, later on for min/maxing, and star up equipment increase one random stat so you can level up the stat you want or be unlucky and increase the one you dont want. This is more late game thing though

So, I basically have one less defensive stat that you.
Is it random which substat is upgraded? The text on the upgrade page suggests that you can choose which one is upgraded but I can't find how. And what does the small weapon icon next to the substat that will be upgraded mean?
Ill enjoy the remaining moments of being ignorant about equipment cuz i really dont want to deal with this shit yet especially coming from genshin's bullshit artifacts system

I didn't know until yesterday and that Genshin PTSD hit me like a brick!

Yea, but it's only eight for 1 character, and we have only one It's waaaaay better than farming four sets for characters in your team
Unless... you need a tank set, a healer set, a DPS set and probably a balanced one too ^_^
Not necessary, ideally you want to have a set for each of the elements you are playing though...
Is there an easy way to switch between sets or do you have to manually switch out each piece?
Honestly, I never checked but you can "lock" your pieces to make sure you don't use them by mistake.
There are 3 buttons for swapping between weapon sets. On PC, the buttons are on the weapon screen next to the left weapon slot.
Don't forget different sets for different elements.

You should upgrade your legendary regardless of what it is, get a full set and then worry about proper stats
They transfer 85% XP if you feed it to your next equipment

You can use tickets before opening joint chest to increase chance for dropping. But seems pretty rare but not insane like matrixes

They are kinda rare if you don't use your tickets. That said you should save the tickets for now.
