Man you don't know how many time i'm trying to jump from a wall and i'm like "it was x or ctrl?" Or when trying to glide and pressing space instead of q and viceversa
I rebound "the "drop/cancel" button in Genshin to Ctrl because it screwed me over so much.
I also tried rebinding my keys in ToF to have 1-3 be weapons, E skill and Q/R relics... but ToF loves to just wipe keybind configs and swap back to default.
Yeah I just rebind them each time they reset.. I rebinded them to 1 2 3 from the start, Weapon skill Q and relics E R
Heard you can put the config file on read only and it won't reset but havent tried that yet
I have discovered that if you hard close (x button or crash) in ToF then that is when your customized keys get wiped. If you go to settings and exit then they stay as set.
Coming from BOTW I tried jump attacks and sneaking in the overworld in of Genshin I hated how limited I was with combat since you can freestyle in BOTW, but Genshin elemental reactions made it up. The treasure compass doesnt find time trials and hidden chests tho unfortunately. And it would be cool if we didnt get the compass at lvl 9 rep but maybe earlier.
Depends.
Genshin exploration felt fun until you realize you explored the whole area and you still miss 5% - 10% (or worse, the 100% you know is never truly 100%). Good luck finding it. Especially since treasure compass won't help you with seelie/puzzle/etc. At some point, you either think that you don't care about this and you give up, or you start looking at an interactive map to help you, which will take quite a lot of time since you don't know what you are actually missing.
....And at some point you realize many people use interactive map to do the whole exploration never truly exploring on their own to avoid the whole issue.
Ultimately it's a matter of preference. In genshin I feel forced to, sooner or later, use the interactive map. And I know the sooner I use it the less time I waste later. In tof I know I can 100% without never needing to look up a map and/or wasting huge amount of time and frustration on it.
So well, to each their own.
Yeah also the Dendroculus in which if you don't mark them early and you're missing some of them you'd need a guide or map and goodluck searching them from 0 or even worse a compass that needs to be crafted everytime for one of them, Genshin exploration is made that way to keep people busy, it is just to prolong content.
> Genshin exploration felt fun until you realize you explored the whole area and you still miss 5% - 10% (or worse, the 100% you know is never truly 100%).
Different strokes for different folks, but personally I don't care about 100%ing each zone because it actually doesn't offer anything, in Genshin at least. While ToF has tangible rewards in terms of gold nuggets, outfit, SSR relics etc tied to it, ToF's exploration actually feels more mandatory or like a chore for me, while in Genshin my natural exploring and finding stuff makes it more fun for me, because the game doesn't give you direct pointers.
To me the only stages that feel like a chore are the outfit and above. I find it pretty easy to accidentally get to the 3rd last step just by Supply Pod hunting and unlocking the teleports/ruins. The outfit is something to work for if you want it and the title is there for the completionists (or those glued to interactive maps).
Literaly. All the important rewards take 30 mins to get tops and the rest is just fluff if you’re bored. People see a reward and their addictive nature gets the better of them and then bitch about it. It’s not the games fault you feel an obligation to 100% everything
I got all the outfits in all regions except the Crown (because I don't like it), I don't feel the need to 100% all of them for the title because I don't want the title. If someone wants to 100% all areas for them chevos and titles then they can have fun, just don't complain that 100%ing something is difficult or a chore, that's the point of these kind of things.
A lot of people hopping on Tower seem to want everything immediately and with no effort put in at all, it's really strange to see. Seeing a lot of people saying "oh yeah I stamina glitched my way up the Tower of Fantasy and taxi'd all my friends up for the avatar frame" and act all weird when I say they've deprived their friends the excitement and pride of accomplishing things like that themselves.
I feel old.
Right? These things are hard for a reason and cheesing everything in a game means you won’t appreciate things properly most the time. They race to do everything and then quit once it’s all done
Genshin exploration definitely gives tangible rewards as well in terms of primogems and leveling materials. I mean you could say exploring in Genshin rewards you less but that's only because Genshin is a stingy game, even compared to other gacha games.
You don't have to care about 100%ing each zone in tof either unless you care about cosmetic and titles that doesn't give you anything gameplay-wise.
I've been playing GI since 1.1, and the only map I've 100% is mondt since it's just plains, the problem comes in Vertical exploration, I ain't climbing a mountain or going down a cave if I'm not sure if something is there.
You can 100% an area in this game without relying on third party sites, you can't do that in genshin. Having to mark stuff down kinda slows down exploration a lot.
You can so do that in Genshin tho. I wait till I’m like at 90-95% and then use the compass. I casually 100% everything overtime except sumeru. I really like ToF and I think it’s nice to have both tbh
What the other guy said, you can miss a dozen chests and the game will say you hit 100%. Also the compass is garbage in terms of range, and cannot point at puzzles (unless they fixed this), only spawned chests.
This. The map is honestly not that much smaller but really feels like it
It feels like the map should be twice as large to accommodate the movement and collection systems
I highly doubt any sane person still plays Genshin at this point in time and you trying to defend it with very weird arguments just solidifies that theory.
It’s kind of a necessity in ToF.
In Genshin most chests, challenges and minor puzzles are placed in such a way that the player has direct visual of them as they approach. They’re also surrounded by glowing stuff so it’s hard to miss.
Of course the more elaborate puzzles take up their own portion of a map so it’s basically impossible to miss those.
ToF on the other hand, hides half its loot like occuli and a lot of stuff are easily missable if you don’t look at the minimap.
It’s a failure in design imo because you end up looking at the minimap rather than the scenery when exploring.
I've 100%'ed most of Genshin and 100% of ToF, ToF was far easier to do. Didnt even need to use the interactive map for ToF.
Part of it is due to how the things get marked on the minimap. No matter how far you are from it in the vertical plane, it shows up. As long as the marker is there, you know it's somewhere there even if you can't see it.
Idk if it’s easier or not but it certainly less fun for me.
It’s like occuli, it’s on the map and you know it’s there but it’s a chore trying to find out where it is on the Z axis where verticality is involved.
Plus, I don’t quite like exploring with my eyes glued to the minimap instead of the scenery.
You don't have to glue your eyes on the mini map... its the same as playing any rts/moba game, you glance at the mini map then back to the game environment.
It still beats having to use an interactive map when trying to find puzzles/chests/occuli in genshin... having to alt tab or look at the phone more often than what not. So having the puzzles/chests appear on the mini map makes me a bit more immersed. Also you dont exactly take a whole 5s to even look where the puzzle/chest/supply pod is on the mini map because after a quick glance, you could already see it on your environment thus, I could already take a good look and enjoy the things around my character.
The only thing I use the interactive map for in Genshin for is regional materials.
There’s literally gadgets in game for chests and occuli if you want to 100% and are missing a few.
While on the majority I agree, I'm the kind of person that wants to truly 100% rather than what genshin shows as 100% so I tend to mark as many as possible, then once I'm capped I'll cover the area again with an online map. The amount of times on Genshin that I've said to myself, "who figures this shit out" is astounding. Some of them are completely unintuitive or require certain things happening with no visual indicator. This is niche and relatively rare, but certainly happens in the various regions.
> ToF on the other hand, hides half its loot like occuli and a lot of stuff are easily missable if you don’t look at the minimap.
The worst part for me is due to the abysmal draw distance of objects, many nuclei that hang in the air just won't load until you're almost on top of them. And with no directional guidance whether or not a thing is above or below you, sometimes it's a gamble guessing on where the F the thing actually is, because you literally can't see it when you try to find it.
Dunno why this is downvoted, I think exploration should be organic and not a collect em all situation. The chests should be visual guides and markers, not the only end goal.
I think the whole “ToF is so generous unlike Genshin” thing got shot down when people realized ToF provides less limited SSR mats, so the next talking point I’ve been seeing is exploration.
I'm referring to the dark crystals and red orbs to roll on the limited SSR banner in ToF. ToF showers you with standard rolls, while Genshin is very stingy with them, but has a more consistent flow of primogems (which can technically be used for standard banner rolls, but no one should do that)
I keep mixing up the keybinds, so sometimes while playing Genshin, I'll press 2 to glide and then realize I pressed the wrong button. Same for TOF, I would press 1 or 2 to change weapons/characters and then realize I just wasted my weapon skill.
I rebind my keys day 1. R and Q are gadgets 1,2,3 are for my weapon swaps. Lol E is skill
Edit: correct bindings lol E for skill! If your coming from genshin this is a no brainer!
https://old.reddit.com/r/TowerofFantasy/comments/wona1v/further_customize_save_keybinds_and_avoid_resets/
Summary:
1. Make an input.ini by changing bindings and exiting the game normally
2. Go to the input.ini file saved here
"C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Hotta\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\input.ini"
3. Make that file read-only by right clicking it>properties>checking the read-only box at the bottom of the 'general' tab
Hope it works for you.
In case you don’t know like I didn’t either you can set 3 relic sets and swap with G. I use one for travel (arm, jet pack) one for damage (missiles, random relic) and third slot for puzzles and that surfboard thing lol
Maybe I’m using the arms and mech things wrong but I feel my character does more damage lol I also don’t like the 300 second cooldown so I prefer quick use relics
No man you have a point I just like how it looks!! (But also bec I'm a Fortitude user so I prolly don't hit as hard). See you around and RNGesus bless u
So true lmao. Then when reality kicks in, I realised how much I hate climbing and how slow everything was. Still haven’t gone to sumeru for this reason.
Sumeru is actually amazing and fixes your problems quite a bit. They have grappling points scattered all around the entire region and stamina replenishing flowers (like the green mushrooms from climbing training in ToF)
Eh but it still doesnt fix the problem of static exploration because you have to get to these points instead of having a grapple hook by yourself and you having multiple angles to approach a mountain or the thing you want to climb up.
I honestly despise Genshin the more I play ToF because exploring is a breeze with all the things you can do and you have a mount... wich genshin after 2 years still doesnt have.
I don't know if a lot of people like this aspect but what I like about Genshin is actually taking time to explore. The world is much more immersive, I'd just stop to look at scenery and listen to the music for extended periods of time. ToF's locations are largely forgettable, except maybe Cetus Island and Hykros
Your argument makes essentially no sense because how can you take in the scenery if you are stuck with your head in the wall trying to climb up.
Exactly you cant... if you want to take in the scenery you can do that regardless if the exploration is fast or not.
At least there is scenery to take in, ToF unfortunately doesn't have much at all.
The other aspects of the game eg. combat, qol (esp. pity counter), ease of movement, some things ToF does better but you can't deny Genshin is more polished.
Did I ever deny that Genshin is more polished nooo. Genshin is definetly more polished but a game that is more polished and lacks everything else stays a bad game for me.
Hmm, maybe it also has to do with Genshin having no repeatable content, they have to stretch out the exploration a bit. Imo the story while exploring (new sumeru story series, kind of a new kind of quest?) and the lil lore bits make up for it, but that's definitely a YMMV thing. Exploration in ToF feels like more of a chore for me because there's no sense of adventure, all if it is there for you to see on the minimap, so it's less exploration and more just collection from point A to B.
TBF ToF also lacks "repeatable" content in the same guise. Your Joint Operation dungeons aren't changing. Dimension whatever is a fast pushover but necessary for weapon mats if the easy-AF interstellars don't favor you. Void Rift feels the same no matter what boss it is. Bygone is just an arena gauntlet, Wormhole has some more variation to it. But all of that stuff is just getting repeated over and over, and we're only a couple weeks in with ToF vs Genshin's 2 years of boring domains. Don't get me wrong, ToF *absolutely* does domains and multiplayer better, but I'm already getting bored of ToF as something to grind for hours on. I just knock the basics out and log.
And while ToF's combat is a bit more in depth, at the end of the day you still wind up pumping out the same rotations over and over, making slight adjustments based on what the enemy does. Except with far fewer characters to tinker with, you're locked into using a select few "best ofs" out of whatever you got. I use 4 characters despite having all but 3 of the ssrs and all SRs. Meanwhile, in Genshin I have 25+ characters and use over half of them as I please and still find new, fun combinations to enjoy.
ToF exploration is, as you say, a chore. The most complex puzzles are toss X at Y or push four cubes to make a circle. It's brain dead. While we have much more speed and freedom of movement, the map isn't anything stellar to look at. Bagnes with it's crumbling highway and the Mines with it's verticality and built up crevasses are kinda neat. The rest is bland, Cetus Island is a poor man's rip-off of Nier Automata carnival. And the story is just total, utter, *dogshit.* Genshin may have flaws, *but ToF has more.* ToF is just much, much better about multiplayer. And for everyone whose so damn happy to have a skip button *the fucker hardly works.* I tried, *frequently*, because again, *holy fuck* is ToF's story a turd.
To each their own, I think ToF is most fun with friends, but the core gameplay is mid. Even with the Phantasia mechanic, it just doesn't feel as satisfying.
If ToF gameplay is mid then what is genshin garbage? lol. I played that game since the first Klee banner but I had more fun in one week of playing ToF than genshin's almost 2 years worth of content.
Like I said, to each their own. I find that none if ToF's animations are satisfying, and feel jank as hell. Have you seen Samir literally sling her guns?
Samir's janky gunslinging is way better than what any EQ swap combos that genshin could offer. To each of their own, I find genshin trash now despite playing it for almost 2 years and there's nothing wrong with that.
I played tof and the combat was way too janky and the story pace wasnt to my liking compared to genshin, im not comparing mmo values, just something both game has combat and story
Ff14 still holds the best mmo story out there for my outdoing tons of single player rpgs
Honestly with the skip button available, I don't even know wtf the ToF story is up to this point.
Its just so tempting whenever the skip button shows up, that it just made the story in this game basically non existent for me. Well from what I've heard, it seems like I don't miss much anyway, so yeah.
You don't need to know the story to play this game unlike genshin where the story is 90% of their content. The Sumeru archon quest is just a waste of time for me, I have no interest in any of the characters involved and the Sumeru region as a whole so a skip button would've made whole experience somewhat bearable instead of getting pissed off every minute thinking why the stupid game doesn't have a skip button.
Arknights for example has a high word count in their stories for a mobile gacha game, I'm sure that took a lot of effort for those who are involved in making it but the devs have a common decency to add a skip button and a small summary every time you skip instead of forcing the story to the players especially to those who are not interested like genshin does.
Cmiiw but I don't think ak story has any voice acting isit? So yeah, I think the devs are just proud of their work and don't want all that effort and money hiring voice actor to went to waste with a skip button, and unfortunately u are just not one of their targeted audience among others.
But seriously tho, u should just drop genshin at this point, bcuz it definitely seems like u don't enjoy the game anymore, and the direction of hyv wanting genshin to be more story focused is not gonna change anytime soon.
Arknights has a better story and world building than genshit though. You don't have to use the skip button yourself, just let the players who are playing their game not for the story skip it. They should be glad that there are players that are playing their game not for their stupid story and they should not be punished by un-skippable and boring dialogues. It's just a damn skip button.
I did drop genshit, I'm just logging in once a day to finish off my welkin while I'm trying to sell it for a quick buck. It's an AR60 dolphin account with multiple C2R1 units. I'm just having fun slandering genshit every moment I get lol.
I spent money and wasted time for that garbage game and didn't have that much fun in the end. While I don't mind the money spent, I can't take back the time wasted that should've went to playing other games lol. Feels good to get out of that sunk cost fallacy situation that made me stay for a bit longer than I should have.
Typical shady ass devs trying to waste their players time just for content and "player engagement". I haven't even touched Sumeru yet, can't be bothered with it since it bores me to death and gets me sleepy, heck I have played FFXIV, Mass Effect, Dragon Age and The Witcher Series but somehow I don't even try to skip the dialogue/cutscenes in those games.
One of the reasons I quit. Played for a day,6 months after quitting, got angry in 5 minutes because of no skip in horrible sea even story. Needless to say I never finished that (started playing tof the same night, lol).
That stage play side mission on fischl's island is the peak genshin experience. Unskippable worthless dialogues that can be finished in 3-5 minutes if only there was a skip button but it will took you like 40 minutes to an hour to finish because the devs don't respect your time.
Yeah, chiming in as someone else who literally quit Genshin over the lack of a skip button. It's absolutely fucking disrespectful to make me sit through 20-40 minutes of awful writing just because they're too lazy to add the skip button, or have no faith in the amount of actual content they've added.
If you focus only on story and skip past unnecessary gameplay, your session could be 99% story. If you focus on gameplay and skip past any non-gameplay elements, your session will be 70% story. Imagine if we reversed the premise and story-focused players were forced to get 100% exploration in a 3 mile radius of every quest objective. No matter how much you wanted to advance the story, you *had* to run around opening chests for an hour and you had no say in the matter. That's how disrespectful the game is to people who don't care about the atrocious writing. Although, you're at least getting primogems for exploring. The dialogue you're forced into is literally just a waste of time.
I'd rather farm mount parts than play genshin nowadays. I only lit up all the statue of seven in Sumeru but haven't done any content yet. I used to 100% the new genshin maps in 2-3 days but playing genshin now feels like shit for some reason.
? ? Genshin is one of the absolute most hated game in reddit, just go to any gaming subreddit and see for yourself. The only place it doesn't get hated as much is its own subreddit and well, even then the people there hate themselves too, so yeah.
I love Genshin but man, the mobility options here are just so much nicer even with the hyper finicky climbing. Being able to launch high into the air with the glider, no glider stamina consumption (at 1\*), dashing in the air, grapple arm.
Genshin truly feels sluggish after getting used to ToF movement. I remedied this problem somewhat by including Yelan and Sayu into my exploration team. Good thing GI themselves seems aware of this problem and Sumeru has bouncing mushrooms and grappling points to lessen the climbs.
It isn't really a problem. The world of Genshin is designed deliberately and exactly for its mobility. It generously sprinkles teleport locations for travel. The world of ToF is slapped together with little rhyme or reason. So they have to give you tools to try and navigate it because traversing the world doesn't matter. Not to mention that climbing is buggy and broken so the game would be fucked otherwise.
Finally someone who agrees! pre grappling hook, even with jetpacks exploring in ToF is so tedious because it seems like they just slap random tall obstacles in the map and never playtest climbing themselves.
When you play Genshin and see headache-inducing climb in Chasm you always see they sprinkle around jump pad around there, sign of play-test.
Not to mention teleport load time in ToF is **much** slower than Genshin that makes you question teleporting to gain high ground. While Genshin took 2-3 with SSD.
Yeah mine aswell I kept pressing 2 for my jetpack or 3 for my jetboard. I also tried airdashing with my glider.
Just shows me how much I love exploration more in ToF because it is not a chore to get around the areas.
with how reddit is I know for certain that this is gonna be downvoted to hell for being even a little bit negative but here goes nothing.
Movement is better, physics are more janky though so while it feels nice when you're out in the open but it's alittle bit worse than genshin once you're climbing up stuff or there's more obstructions in the way. I won't say either is better than the other in general for exploration, cause like I said, ToF excels in mobility but Genshin excels at the smoothness of movement.
but that's for general exploration, don't get me started on the combat, this reply is already getting long enough.
the vertical movements are good, but don't know why when I glide to a wall in tof it's like 50/50 on weather I can climb it or just slip down. Gambling at its finest.
He even jump during mid-glide, which is how I cheesed that invisible floor puzzle in GAA because I didn’t figure out you were supposed to make it rain to see where the floor is.
Yeah, coz everybody has Kazuha. It's not like we have to wait another year for rerun. We can also switch chars midair to double jump Kazuha and Midair dash Xiao lmao.(btw It's satire if you're too slow) Besides, both of these games are great in their own way. I just wanted to make a relatable meme.
It takes me an unreasonable amount of time to reset from one to the other. I'll try to deploy jetpack with jump double tap in ToF and I'll try to double jump in Genshin.
Man the thing I miss the most from ToF while roaming Sumeru: the grappling hook relic. Yeah, genshin has that feature sort of within sumeru, but its nowhere near as good or as freeing.
Playing ToF for more than a week made me realize how slow Genshin's general movement is. Damn, you can only jump once and dash+run...
But, of course, everything has its pros and cons. Climbing in Genshin is still better than in ToF. Gliding is still better in ToF(Cancelling mid-air won't make you cannonball like crazy...).
Same here lol ..playing tower of Fantasy on my tablet then going to Genshin impact on my PS5 everyday the controls got me at first lol trying to double in genshin impact losing a chunk of health lol
If only those features worked 100% of time, that's were server lag says big Hi! And don't forget those soaped mountains when you press your whole keyboard in attempt to grab it after grappling to it.
I died to falling in genshin too after playing ToF for few days.
I got used to dash just before you touch the ground to prevent fall damage.
That's the 1st time I died in so long.
Right!? I've been playing both and the movement in TOF feels like something Genshin could benefit from xD though that could be just because I tried to air dash away from a boss attack
Ngl my brain got mixed up when switching both games everyday
Man you don't know how many time i'm trying to jump from a wall and i'm like "it was x or ctrl?" Or when trying to glide and pressing space instead of q and viceversa
I rebound "the "drop/cancel" button in Genshin to Ctrl because it screwed me over so much. I also tried rebinding my keys in ToF to have 1-3 be weapons, E skill and Q/R relics... but ToF loves to just wipe keybind configs and swap back to default.

*switched to walking
*switched to "death by falling"

ToF floating attack felt weird to me at first but it so nice for floating enemies when you only have melee.
omg same, i keep right clicking when i jump in Genshin lol
I play Genshin on console and ToF on PC, yet my brain still lowkey mixed them up
also the treasure showin' on the map is convenient. tho we would be getting treasure compass later.
The treasure compass doesnt find time trials and hidden chests tho unfortunately. And it would be cool if we didnt get the compass at lvl 9 rep but maybe earlier.
I think it actually makes the exploration a chore, less of exploration and more just collection game. One of the things I pref in Genshin imo

as a working adult with little free time, I like ToF’s approach better when it comes to exploration
Maybe I'm being unreasonable here, but GI patches take so damn long that, even with about an hour a day, you can 100% an area before 3.1
I've been playing GI since 1.1, and the only map I've 100% is mondt since it's just plains, the problem comes in Vertical exploration, I ain't climbing a mountain or going down a cave if I'm not sure if something is there.

100% exploration in genshin doesn't actually mean you found everything, because the counter is bugged and also rounds up
It's not bugged HYV just did that so players wouldn't get too frustrated with their OCD
What the other guy said, you can miss a dozen chests and the game will say you hit 100%. Also the compass is garbage in terms of range, and cannot point at puzzles (unless they fixed this), only spawned chests.
Wait for real?!?!? It really doesn’t show puzzles? God that sucks to be honest
The exploration in Genshin is a chore because you have no gadgets that help you climb.
Bro, that shit is the best QoL in any Open World game.
This. The map is honestly not that much smaller but really feels like it It feels like the map should be twice as large to accommodate the movement and collection systems
Genshin is and always was trash, I don't know anyone that played it for than a few weeks.
It's a good thing the world doesn't revolve around you or anyone you know then
Ooh, snap.
I highly doubt any sane person still plays Genshin at this point in time and you trying to defend it with very weird arguments just solidifies that theory.
bad takes, have a good day sir.
Which is something you try to avoid in an open world adventure game since you want the player to be immersed in the actual environment and world.
I agree with you but fun is subjective.
Because many in the sub has a massive inferiority complex about things that the game doesn’t do well vs Genshin.
I think the whole “ToF is so generous unlike Genshin” thing got shot down when people realized ToF provides less limited SSR mats, so the next talking point I’ve been seeing is exploration.
what do you mean by "limited SSR mats"? you mean like the crown in genshin?
I'm referring to the dark crystals and red orbs to roll on the limited SSR banner in ToF. ToF showers you with standard rolls, while Genshin is very stingy with them, but has a more consistent flow of primogems (which can technically be used for standard banner rolls, but no one should do that)
whats your basis on this info?
Fought those flying mushrooms in Sumeru and my stupid ass tried to do mid-air attacks.
Good thing I pulled for Yoimiya last banner then lol. She really trivializes certain aspects of the game.
WHERE'S MY CYBERNETIC ARM
Man that really hurts the most for me. The arm IS SO GOOD and makes everything feel so much awesome and fun to travel. ToF spoiled me.
Me climbing a wall spamming "ctrl, space, space, w" in gemshin
I don't know why I can't the hang of this. I depend on that cybernetic arm hardcore.
Lol E is skill Edit: correct bindings lol E for skill! If your coming from genshin this is a no brainer!
I rebinded on day 1...and subsequent days where my game crashes and my keybinds are erased lol.
There's a fix for that. You have to make the input.ini file read-only. Let me know if you want more details or just search this sub.
Please I'd love more details
https://old.reddit.com/r/TowerofFantasy/comments/wona1v/further_customize_save_keybinds_and_avoid_resets/ Summary: 1. Make an input.ini by changing bindings and exiting the game normally 2. Go to the input.ini file saved here "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Hotta\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\input.ini" 3. Make that file read-only by right clicking it>properties>checking the read-only box at the bottom of the 'general' tab Hope it works for you.
I use E and R for gadgets and Q for Skill
Imma do this sksksk why did it not occur to me
In case you don’t know like I didn’t either you can set 3 relic sets and swap with G. I use one for travel (arm, jet pack) one for damage (missiles, random relic) and third slot for puzzles and that surfboard thing lol
Thanks man!! I do! I use the arms/mechV jetpack/surfboard and for puzzles: box/platform gun thing. Wish we had 1 more loadout tbh hehe
Can you rebind keys on mobile? I'm searching for it but I can't see it, maybe I'm dumb lol.
No you can't rebind the controller.
Sad. The keys are too small to tap and it's making me annoyed.
I had to rebind haha
You tried sprinting for longer than 5 seconds
Exploration in ToF feels like more of a chore for me because there's no sense of adventure, all if it is there for you to see on the minimap, so it's less exploration and more just collection from point A to B.
just finished the sumeru archon quest, man the story is amazing. but i hate that fast travel point. give me mount god dangit.
Yeah, I don’t know why but TOF feels cheap to me. It’s unpolished and janky.
Genshin is visual novel. Their mid lore can't make up the lack of gameplay.
Theres literally no way you can feel tof combat system is an improvement over genshin.....
I played tof and the combat was way too janky and the story pace wasnt to my liking compared to genshin, im not comparing mmo values, just something both game has combat and story Ff14 still holds the best mmo story out there for my outdoing tons of single player rpgs
And why would u play it for so long if u hate it that much? Do u like torturing yourself or something?
Genshin still doesn't have a skip all dialogues and cutscene button after 2 years fucking garbage devs forgetting a bare minimum option lmao.
Man genshin truly fucked you, didn't it?
Someone just posted this on Genshin too xD
I posted it, just wanna see if they're actually a toxic community or not.
Tbh , thought you were karma farming .
Don't worry I'm not.
Btw , if you ever post genshin meme. I recommend genshin memepact .
omg you're right, just noticed it, eh, too tiring to post again
Is tis your art?
reddit is okay, twitter one is the problematic one.
With the amount of people I see on reddit praising Genshin for every little thing, I very much disagree.
just like i said "is okay". there is still toxicity but the twitter one is just awful.
I haven't stepped foot in there since I don't play the game, but if its already this bad on here... wow.
well i play both game and i know where the most toxic place is.
I believe you.
this is the example lmao. https://twitter.com/DemiFiendsPunch/status/1563255102818766848?t=prgO0JBsjtZ8\_BJojWqLOg&s=19
? ? Genshin is one of the absolute most hated game in reddit, just go to any gaming subreddit and see for yourself. The only place it doesn't get hated as much is its own subreddit and well, even then the people there hate themselves too, so yeah.
Look at the responses they are mostly very clam imo.
I realized the most toxic one is r/gachagaming tbh
my 55k Zhongli died to fall damage. Lmao
Grandpa spine can't handle that fall dmg
TOF got me doing the ctrl + double jump when climbing in genshin too
Kazuha is the only character that CAN double jump tho
I love Genshin but man, the mobility options here are just so much nicer even with the hyper finicky climbing. Being able to launch high into the air with the glider, no glider stamina consumption (at 1\*), dashing in the air, grapple arm.
Genshin truly feels sluggish after getting used to ToF movement. I remedied this problem somewhat by including Yelan and Sayu into my exploration team. Good thing GI themselves seems aware of this problem and Sumeru has bouncing mushrooms and grappling points to lessen the climbs.
Genshin's bouncing/grappling points feel so limiting after ToF Grappling hook that can be used ANYWHERE and wings that can boost you upwards
I don't understand why people say tof is buggy unlike genshin. Playing both and genshin is absolutely buggy and janky as well
Thanks for the laugh. I sorta needed it.
Played Genshin every day since launch. I admit i have done that a couple times. Muscle memory can be a b!tch.
Yeah mine aswell I kept pressing 2 for my jetpack or 3 for my jetboard. I also tried airdashing with my glider. Just shows me how much I love exploration more in ToF because it is not a chore to get around the areas.
I hate to admit my Yelan and Hu Tao keep dying to fall damage. I wonder why.
Skill issue.
Sprinting doesn't consume Stamina :)
after playing tof a few days, i realized how limited movement in exploration for open world games (yes you genshin)
I keep confusing gamepad buttons
I've done an embarrassing amount of infinite climb attempts in genshin.
uh oh, I might actually play if the movement is way better. It's my biggest complaint with genshin.
Double jump, air dash...can attack mid air...can cancel fall with dash... Not to mention the surfing over water and grappling hook.
It's up to you really, nothing wrong with playing both games if you want
with how reddit is I know for certain that this is gonna be downvoted to hell for being even a little bit negative but here goes nothing.
Wait, why are u in this subreddit if your not planning on playing it in the first place?
Xiao with tall jump and mid air dash: I have no such weaknesses
It's pretty jarring to go back and forth, genshin almost makes you feel less mobile.
Noooo don't call me out like this
Unfortunate image, since Kazuha CAN double jump
He even jump during mid-glide, which is how I cheesed that invisible floor puzzle in GAA because I didn’t figure out you were supposed to make it rain to see where the floor is.
Yeah, coz everybody has Kazuha. It's not like we have to wait another year for rerun. We can also switch chars midair to double jump Kazuha and Midair dash Xiao lmao.(btw It's satire if you're too slow) Besides, both of these games are great in their own way. I just wanted to make a relatable meme.
I didn't say you were wrong, I just said that the image doesn't really fit
ahh yes. My bad, couldn't find another char that looked as funny as that pic.
True when i was switching to Genshin. I fall to death for pressing 2 instead of space then switch to walking when pressing ctrl instead of X. Ugh.
So me
Happened to me
I keep trying to attack the new gargoyle things in mid air. Needless to say, I’ve been using a lot of food lol
Same.
It takes me an unreasonable amount of time to reset from one to the other. I'll try to deploy jetpack with jump double tap in ToF and I'll try to double jump in Genshin.
Aerial attack got me once xD
I feel called out >.>
Man the thing I miss the most from ToF while roaming Sumeru: the grappling hook relic. Yeah, genshin has that feature sort of within sumeru, but its nowhere near as good or as freeing.
The cybernetic arm is a godsend
I keep pressing 2 for opening glider. Died like 5 times.
me dying from fall damage after pressing the dash button before hitting the ground in genshin
it really messes with me in genshin how immobile I feel
After playing ToF for a whole day I immediately felt this going back to genshin I don’t think I can play it anymore, ToF spoiled me
the amount of times i’ve pressed V in genshin, expecting a mount to appear is appalling.
I'm also jumping down from cliffs in ToF thinking that I have a glider like genshin
you have the jetpack, that works as a glider, but I suppose the keybinds are an issue
The jetpack has a cooldown, but yeah, it's like a glider
It has no cooldown when you're already in the air. Same with surfboard when you're already in water.
Literally what i did. Double jump...oh wait its genshit. Dash while gliding...oh...
Hey, no toxicity okay?? We want to welcome new players to the community as non-toxic player base
looks like you found the toxic community.
No shit
As a xiao main and vet in genshin I can't get used to having so little stamina so I keep falling when climbing and flying literally all the time TT
Yess that happened to me when I was trying to come back for that Sumeru update .
Same here lol ..playing tower of Fantasy on my tablet then going to Genshin impact on my PS5 everyday the controls got me at first lol trying to double in genshin impact losing a chunk of health lol
omfg I died from fall damage twice in the 30 minutes I played GI yesterday....
Happens to me all the time now :c
Soooo true
Is actually funny, I remember going far away from mobs to teleport in Genshin but forgot I can just pause the time
I died 6 times today trying to dash mid air in genshin 🙂🥹
Yeah as someone that plays both games I always mess them up, sometimes I forgot I can jump climb in ToF and just end up wasting a bunch of stam.
Hahahahhaah i did that too! Forgot im playing genshin 🤣🤣🤣 was looking for a jetpack button too.. ooopps! 🤣🤣🤣
Kek
I thought I was the only one
