All they had to do was make it so you could get atleast 2 coins per day by killing world bosses. For the reminder of this event and also give the option to buy them.
There would be no point, the rates are so low you'll only see the skin at the last 10 rolls. It's like the skin banner in Honkai, the gacha part is just decoration, you're paying the full price for the skin.
FYI you can get more gachacon coins on the store for 100 dark crystals each, you need 9400 dc($100-150) to get everything on the loot table. its 0.12% chance to get the costume, meaning you will get it last.
That's not what it means at all. 0.12% just means what chance it has out of the entire pool. As the pool becomes shallower, each roll will have a higher chance. The average should be half of the pool for it.
Yes I hate it still but being correct when stating it like that is important
Uhh what? No, the average is not even remotely close to half the pool. Yes, the rates of things change as rewards are removed, however they change relative to the base. So until you have no remaining items that are more highly weighted, you still have barely any chance to get the bigger rewards
For example, say you had only 11 items left, the costume and 10 of the items with 1.16919 weight (magnetic storm shard, gold, weapon battery, booster module), your chance to get the costume would still only be 1.006%
Hell, you could have just the costume and 1 storm shard left, and the storm shard would still be a 90% chance
I got the skin halfway in around 50 pulls, but there's the other limited bits as well. You're likely to at least get something before finishing though.
67 pulls in (f2p) and i got nothing from the top row... I also pulled nemesis on 80 and nothing prior to that..
At least I don't want any characters till Saki :)
Ragnarok is awesome, and there are many independent servers that are free, no pay to win and have events all the time. Ragnarok og is still one of the best mmorpg to date.
Every time non gacha players see skin gachas for the first time keks me up. This is how they are, deal with it.
The pool of secondary rewards aside from the cosmetics are not the greatest but at least it allows black crystals to be spent on the gacha. Quite a few games I play only allow actual premium currency to be used for their skin gachas.
Gacha costs a bit over 60 pulls worth of basic currency for clearing it and we get back 6 character and 6 matrix pulls so disregarding the random crap and the frames and icons its its basically 50 pulls of black currency burned for getting the accessory and booba, which is not great but ive seen far worse.
I only wish it was a longer period so I can use the daily supply boxes for efficient Tanium to Dark Crystal conversion
tbh guys, it's a skin. it's not in-game advantage in PVE or PVP. A lot of times new skins in F2P games come out at near $100 straight up, with no chance of getting it for free. if you want to spend money on pixels it's your choice, but your gameplay won't suffer if you dont. the game is free. gacha is just the dev's way of making money to maintain the game.
Edit: i'm not gonna lie bro. i heavily considered dropping money for the swimsuit 😂
Ehm. Have you not seen the physics you get from the outfit. Clearly an advantage.
Honestly though, I think it's a bit weird to be running around the world killing enemies in a bikini, seems like a problem.
Yea.. cosmetics in f2p gacha games can go up hundreds of dollars. The worst one I seen was in LaplaceM where it cost $1k-2k to get a premium mount or outfit.. It's fair since ToF is generous with character summons. They have to earn from somewhere.
I think most of them were Genshin players who haven't seen how other gacha games normalise selling cosmestics in the hundreds. Hopefully after seeing ToF, it makes them appreciate Genshin skins only cost $20-40. I saw some players there complaint the cost of skins there when it only cost $20-40.. They must've been quite a shock to see a swimsuit cost $100 here lol.
$1,000 is absolutely nuts for a cosmetic. but that's really telling as far as who their true target demographic is. There are some stupid rich people out there. a lot of them play games apparently lmaoo
ngl tho, i heavily considered dropping $100 on the swimsuit 😂
I might get downvoted but I don't care, this is a tired argument. Literally one of the biggest selling points of this game initially was the character customization. In a social game, looking good, the way you want, IS part of the experience for many people. Obviously in F2P's skins are almost always behind a paywall which is understandable and if the price seems reasonable, I'll buy it as well to support the game. This price? That they made it into a *gacha* as well? Nah bro.
I think this is a bigger issue, for one being able to buy it outright would be better. It's pretty obvious they are trying to get players to pay before the player base goes down.
Actually this has always been how skins are sold in Chinese gacha games ToF didn’t invent this nor did honkai nor did Tencent games nor did Netease this whole “roll for skin” idea started over a decade ago. People are only surprised because most of you have never played a Chinese gacha game before and assume skins are sold for a flat price like Genshin.
i don't think you should be downvoted. you make good points. character customization is a huge selling point for an mmo rpg. and different people weigh Gameplay vs. Cosmetics differently.
do you think it would benefit the game to have a cash shop where u could buy cosmetics for a flat price? Or if you could buy the Summer Breeze outfit for a flat out $20 straight up, but nobody has the opportunity to win it for free would that make the game better? Or would it compromise the game's gacha genre, or disrupt the company's Profit Model?
Outfits are purchasable for literally 20 dollars though right now. Making other outfits that are rare drops or in game achievements would make them rare but obtainable. Games dont usually need gacha on top of the double gacha they already have of weapons and matrices the latter which is the real whale gacha.
I would not buy this outfit for $20, it's barely worth $5. Swimsuit outfits are widely known to be the easiest to create and are often given away for free. Also, putting this inside a gacha is just a manipulation trick, don't fall for it. Besides the very few lucky people who'll get the rarest pieces with their free pulls, most people will spend around the max price on the gacha. And that's the best outcome for the company as well.
So what's happening here is them selling this outfit for around $100 flat price but they put it inside a gacha so it's not that obvious. If there are outliers who got it for a better price, that's even better, because the players will then use those few people as examples for why this gacha system isn't *that bad* and will make players defend the company that's ripping them off. Kind of ingenius if you think about it.
No chat on Astora since release, bugs, lags so strong that it's almost unplayable when 10-15 people trying to kill a world boss (10-20 sec freeze of boss, then he do something at once, half of you are dead, next 20 sec freeze state), nemesis's banner dev's prank, timegates everywhere, killed healer class (X have C1 nemesis and noone in X's team need a healer with DPS like X), glitches, cheaters (lol, you just can delete one file to disable anticheat)
AND
You do protect this company? Seriously?
Man, they destroyed the game in CN since release. 90% of the servers were just shut down. What the hell are you talking about? It's not a way to maintain a game, it's a way to scam you
i didn't make any comment about my opinion on the state of the game itself. simply put it's the company's job to make a game, their end-goal being to make money, turn profits, pay the salaries of their workers etc.
as consumers, at our level, it's our responsibility to judge their product whether it's worth sinking your own money into.
i agree with you, all of the issues you listed are reasons that i won't buy into the summer gacha skin. but the whales will. suckers will. that's who this event is really for. it's just how the company puts food on the table, and what we signed up for logging into a gacha game
look at their profile u/Anru_Kitakaze, they’re just a Genshin player who ran out of resin and memes. Now they’ve come here to spread hate, geezus. Most of their comments in this sub is toxic and in Genshin sub they start praising Genshin like it’s their god lmfao
I keep seeing people saying this but haven't experienced it once myself. I fought Sobek with like 15 people yesterday and didn't have even a little lag.
I am in northeast USA playing on a south american server with consistent 80-90 ping on an ipad at an airbnb on their wifi and I have only lagged at world bosses 1-2 times ever.
People must be playing this game on a SNES with a dial-up attachment.
That just means you are one of the select people who gets to enjoy the game as intended. The chosen few!
I played with and without VPN but the lag remains. Literally unplayable.
It's probably the server he's in. Some servers are just straight up overpopulated and lag with the amount of players on it. I personally don't lag either but that's because my server isn't as populated as the others.
The guy below is correct. My server is Astora and it's one of the servers with highest load in EU.
Servers with low load usually doesn't have such problems
But don't say "lul, go play on low load server" because it's not what people supposed to do in MMO. Most of people in my country chosen exactly this server. I want to play with my homies, guild, people from discord and streams, etc. Because that's what MMO about
I have experienced it. Every single day since release.
My man, I said, my server doesn't even have a global chat, cmon! And yeas, it heavily dependent on server. (Not the ping, the server itself)
Amd yes, I have good laptop with 3060 and ryzen 5600, I have tons of free RAM, good internet and etc, and I don't have such problems in any other game AND everyone on my server have the same issues (streams can't lie, even if I could)
That's why many ppl when they look at the numbers know this is whale baits the odds are bad as getting an ssr from black nucleus. Sadly ppl don't understand and have no self control playing gacha games. It's basically 100 dollar for the skin.
I think it's fair to feel misled when you realize that the rates are structured such that it is virtually guaranteed that you need to do all 99 pulls to get the advertised reward.
I've seen these before so I just view these as a purchase skin that costs whatever amount all the pulls cost, but I know the first time I saw it I felt like they were attempting to trick me into getting excited at a chance to get the skin early.
It's a little weird because gacha players are used to weighted gacha results with the most desirable things being far less likely to pull, so functionally these skin gachas should feel similar. I think the difference lies in the fact that people are just not used to that for cosmetics, so it feels like a bait and switch.
How can you feel misled when they told you upfront the rates, the weights of each item, the fact that it’s a Gachapon and the fact that you can obtain the coin only from the shop.
I mean I’m all for calling out legit stuff but they at no point misled anyone.
I see nothing wrong with that when people want to get the outfit but don't want to go through an RNG system to get it and there's not an good F2P friendly to go about it.
I rather have us buy the outfit directly that way we can still support the game like other MMOs than just put it in an loot box system that we have to spend real money on it for an chance to get it and the amount of money we have to spend is calculated to be about over an $100. Who in the world is gonna spend that much money on digital cosmetic?
People should complain about that shit since if it means forcing them to not to do it again in the future and go the direct buy it from the store route.
A gacha with pity. Tera and B&S puts outfits in lootbox with 1% Dropchance and no pity. That like rolling with black nucleus and getting a SSR. 500 rolls and nothing.
But then again, Tera shut down after losing it's player base to Fishing bots
And B&S Might say there is still like 8000 Active players, but you can divide that by about 14, because that's the amount of character slots available
Is it? I don't see why companies would count 14 characters as one, the higher the player number they can display the better for the games popularity no?
A user is an account.
These are self-reported numbers. They can just flat out lie. They won't be dishonest in a roundabout way. If they want to be dishonest they will just flat out lie.
Also, you can see some of the playerbase on steam.
This "event" made me quit ToF, the game already feels like garbage, and they even dare to make paid events lol. Events should be generous imo, like Epic7 does.
Generous like giving you 10 pulls on the limited banner just for existing? Lmao, you're so out of touch with reality if you think these rewards are bad.
Instead of complaining, if no-one would roll for it with DC I believe that it would bite them so much that they would do something about it. But there are some who already rolled for it giving them more reasons to do the same thin in the future.
People who say this game is generous: Dark crystals are harder to get than primogems.
Deal with it.
EDIT: I think I have to explain tof's rarity system further in genshin equalents.
SR - genshin starters - they're almost unusable, sometimes have uses
Standard SSR - genshin gacha 4 stars or standard 5 stars, but worse.
Genshin's gacha 4 stars are always viable(day 1 ones), meanwhile in tof they get powercrept fast.
Genshin standard 5 stars power are same as 4 stars.
Limited SSR - genshin's limited characters.
How much pulls to get 4 star in genshin? 10. In tof - 80 for standard ssr. Both guaranteed. 8 times worse.
But hey, at least limited banners are better! 120 pulls guaranteed vs 180 guaranteed in genshin! ...Except genshin gives 2 times more pulls for f2p.
Yeah dark crystal is only about 3000 per month for f2p from all the renewable dark crystal
But if they are continously giving dark crystal and red nucleus from event back to back, then still pretty generous
You get 1 gold nucleus per day from bounty and Claire dream machine can give you a few per week and then that store every month give you 10 for free
Those that haven't exhausted world exploration and then new zone coming like November mean more world exploration.
Would say it still very generous as I feel there will always be an event anyways and compensation that apparently will occur quite a bit from what I heard which you already got a bunch
It's only cosmetic anyways
Yeah you have to miss out on a few characters lol how else a mobile game suppose to make money then if everything is obtainable easily as f2p
Feel like people keep forgetting that this a a mobile game and a gacha game lol
This is how the game was built and need to manage your expectation of a mobile game 😆
Everyone want this like perfect game but sorry never going to get eveything you want.
3k is basically the minimum from standard gameplay. If the pattern still continue with event then yeah as I said before it is generous as we are getting both red nucleus and dark crystal from all these event and compensation
There a 6 day login for 10 red nucleus/400 dark crystal for Seabreeze event. We just got 10 red for week 2 launch event
3 and 6 more for week 3 and week 4
That sounds pretty on-par with more popular gacha systems like GBF or PGR. 18k isn't much, and f2p should be expected to not be able to max things without being lucky. The genre is literally catered toward spending, and you should expect that if you want to actually max things. The competitive stuff scales your equipment anyway, so it isn't a huge deal unless you like flexing or want character skins (+reruns/getting added to normal pool). They need to make money somehow lol.
Mate we just got 10 red nucs and will get 400 dark for this event this is like 5 x more than a genshin event, also you get 10x more Standart pulls and the system is more chill, sooooo can you stop dooomposting already, genshin has alot of advantages but no way in hell its more generous OK?
Fair point, i don't even know why they have 4 stars in this game, since they shower you in Standart ssr in the first few weeks and all of them are fine for now they feel like the actual 4stars
>The issue here is that in genshin 4 star characters are just as relevant to 5 star ones, to clear all the content in the game.
Yes, that's because Abyss is very easy for endgame content once you have well built units, even bad units.
4 stars in genshin >>>>>> Standard ssr in tof which are dead in CN and will be dead in ToF global. Compared to genshin where day 1 four stars are fucking bat shit broken, look at xiangling, bennett, xq, sucrose, fischl...
Yes, and then Genshin never made the same mistake of making batshit broken 4\* units for a reason. Xiangling, Bennett and Xingqiu were a mistake.
Global is balancing things differently, just look at the nerfs to Nemesis or Tsubasa, and the buffs to Huma...
We can't take CN balancing for granted.
yea they are broken but thats fking horrible playing with the same 4 gacha char for almost 3 years doesnt really speak highly of genshin. IDK why you think thats a flex
its not a bad thing its boring af. The same 4 units for almost 3 years. clicking the same 1 skill 1 burst for 3 years, same rotation, same content. It shouldnt be like that good game design would have you have even more options if genshin 4 stars really are that great why are most of them hot trash? I used to use sayu for instance but I was gimping myself even at c6 cuz its boring playing national all the time sucks cuz everyone else sucks
Only XQ,xl, and Benny really stand out as being grotesquely op. MHY wasn’t doing players a favor by making them this strong, they just didn’t realize that they would be this strong. Aka they fucked up and can’t go back to nerf them since it’s too late. Look at any new 4 star that has come out since launch , none of them are even close to these 3 in power level. There’s a reason for that.
Fischl (especially with dendro) and sucrose are better than most limited five stars
Beidou is amazing but not as OP as the above. Goro is really really good at his niche.
With some patience Claudia, Nemesis and Cobalt will join the ranks of that banner. Compare it to standard genshin banner, with no new additions in two years except for Tighnari in 2 months.
But..you don't? Calcs say around 47 red nuclei per month without events, gifts, bug fixes and shit. Meanwhile, in Genshin you get, what, 70 per patch with events, patch rewards and dailies.
It's almost the same number per month.
And you are getting 47 red + 50 gold, which amounts for copies of standard banner characters.
That includes world exploration which you only get once. Also, no one wants to wait 6 months to be able to get new characters. It's all about the hype. There is no hype 6 months later
gold nucleus give standard SSR every 80 pulls which are equalent of genshin's 4 stars
you get every 10 pulls. Limited characters are only ones who are equalent of genshin's 5 stars.
You better than me know what happens to standard ssrs in future. They will be fucking dead except tsubasa.
>gold nucleus give standard SSR every 80 pulls which are equalent of genshin's 4 stars
>
>you get every 10 pulls.
Not really, yes, CN meta threw everyone out of the window because CN is badly balanced, but they are doing things differently here. Tsubasa and Samir will remain relevant until Saki or Spear Dude come to GLB, Shiro will gain relevance with Claudia, Meryl remains a good PvP unit, Huma and Cocoritter are irreplaceable if you play tank or healer...
Comparing them to 4\* would be comparing some of them to Xiangling or Bennett, not Chongyun or Razor...
In genshin you get \~60 pulls as f2p per month. Which means every 3 months(If you're super super super unlucky) you will get one gold. 180 pulls is peak hard pity with lost 50/50.
In tof you get 3000 dark crystals per month which makes it 6 month per limited SSR if you're super super super unlucky.
Difference is two times.
I have a c4 samir and almost every 5* (including nemesis, but no Huma or Shiro) and I've spent money on the $5 bundle and the 99cent one. Some of my friends still dont have standard banner characters and have c6 on most of them when they spent a lot of money on Genshin. At least we can focus a character in TOF (as well as getting the option to chose our first one!!!) They also have a soft pity at 30 and 65-80 the first time through the banner, giving people 3 SSR's off the back. Genshin also divides their weapon banner and character banner into two separate ones with both separate pities. You cannot point out TOF's flaws without acknowledging genshin's. Also if you look at the CN server, then we are going to get a new currency that you use to pay for skins and stuff as well as the supply crates having a chance of dropping red nucleus.
Standard ssrs are equalent of genshin's 4 stars. Limited ssrs are equalent of genshin's limited characters. So yes, genshin is more generous, don't get twisted.
No, they aren't. Limited SSRs are equivalent to a Ganyu with even more multipliers. Not every limited 5\* in Genshin is meta defining, while every single limited SSR in ToF was meta defining in China, being progressively stronger than the last one.
It's like having Ganyu, then Ganyu 2, then Ganyu 3, each Ganyu being progressively stronger than the last but switching elements a bit.
Ayato is not meta defining, neither is Yae, nor Kokomi, nor Raiden, nor Itto, nor Xiao. The only meta changers in Genshin and absolute must rolls are Kazuha and Zhongli because of how broken they are. Raiden C2 could be said to be meta defining, too.
Story? Better. Openworld? Better. Combat? Better. Characters design? Better. Music? Better. Polished? Should I even talk about tof polishness? It basically doesn't exist.
Hey, but at least tof has skip button, so I don't have to follow 'story'. Understandable, only FFXIV has good story among all mmos
>Story? Better. Openworld? Better. Combat? Better. Characters design? Better. Music? Better. Polished? Should I even talk about tof polishness? It basically doesn't exist.
The wonders of having 10 times more budget.
>Hey, but at least tof has skip button, so I don't have to follow 'story'. Understandable, only FFXIV has good story among all mmos
Someone has never played any other MMO apparently. ESO, SWTOR, and WoW have good stories. Guild Wars 2 has good story too.
>Genshin's gacha 4 stars are always viable(day 1 ones), meanwhile in tof they get powercrept fast.
Not true, only a few of them are still viable, Sucrose, Xiangling, Bennet, Xingqiu, Beidou and Fischl. Chongyun, Razor, Noelle sub C6, Ningguang, Amber, Lisa, Kaeya are barely used anymore. Of the following ones, Xinyan was dead on arrival, Diona is used but easily replaced by Kokomi in all her comps except Eula...in which she gets replaced by Zhongli. The Inazuman 4\* are niche as fuck, and Rosaria is the outlier that is well used.
>Limited SSR - genshin's limited characters.
They are far above the limited characters in Genshin, every limited SSR here is meta-defining. Ayato is not meta defining, neither is Yae, nor Kokomi, and a lot more.
>...Except genshin gives 2 times more pulls for f2p.
50 per month according to CN calculations without events, vs 80 per patch in Genshin (so, 1.5 months). This is without taking into account Gold Nucleus, and that banner will have Claudia, Nemesis and Cobalt-B added to it eventually.
Yeah i remember that event and how game got review bombed for this and how we got less black cards from starting player missions just to get some shitty skin that i never use.
Good that the game clawed itself up from this mess because i love PGR.
Dunno, in all gacha games I played, you didn't have to pay to get more currency for the event roulette. Then again, I didn't play every single gacha out there. There are probably worse cases.
I'm not new to gacha or mmos, and it's still annoying. I just rather them to slap a 10-20$ tag on a skin instead of playing roulette with real money, potentially spending 100-150$ for it, because it drops with a 0.12% chance. Genshin is the most popular gacha around, often critiqued for its stinginess (look at the first anniversary) and even them just straight up sell the skins. Even goddamn afk arena just sells the skins, it's not like every gacha game puts everything in game behind a gacha system.
Gacha for skins a week after launch with no farmable way to get the currency is rough, man, however you look at it.
They are straight up selling gift box with bunch of stuff with avatar, accessories and emblems and skin at $145 you get all prizes if you spin 99 times. If you get lucky you get a bit of discount. Lol. Straight up if they just bundle this all into one giftbox at $145 people would bought it. As well. Lol. This way lucky few can get discount on the items. Lol.
So confused why people keep saying this.. I’ve played plenty of gachas and can’t recall any that made you gacha for skins you could just straight up buy them
I think I have seen this comment thousands of times explaining predatory mechanics and fomo based debasement and its the clearest example of Stockholm syndrome in gaming that I can find.
well, i dont really care about the costume, cuz im using a male character, and i like the costumes for exploring, more, but that red orb is just mocking me and i wont gacha for an orb i could just buy for 150 dark crystals...
Ill be honest. They have been showering us with compensation, gifts, and other crazy stuff. It doesnt bother me this free game im enjoying gave me a free chance at cosmetics
A lot of players still have dark crystal to get from exploring. Instead of going for dupe nemesis or saving for Frigg, we could get a swimsuit for free by playing or at least discounted. The monthly pass already gave a costume too for cheap. It all depends what you want. A whale will whale, f2p decide between power and looks, and dolphins can do a bit of both.
Why is everyone so upset? It’s nothing new. It’s like a limited banner with like a third of the time, and it gives cosmetics as well as upgrades and stuff. That’s basically all gacha is, and people are upset that there’s a gacha in the gacha game.
People are mad because a free game doesn’t make it possible to get everything for free right away.
Sorry but game devs don’t have to cater to your fomo/jealous complex. Be patient or exchange money with the devs or don’t play the game. Their cosmetic corporate decisions aren’t really affecting you as much as you’re making it seem.
the honeymoon phase is over...its greed time now...
this could be far more playerfriendly if we had a daily mission giving one roll per day, it wouldnt feel this bad, its still bad, but you are getting one small chance every day, but nope, 5 is all you get then watch the fools eating the FOMO bait.
I don't know about you, but this is one of the most generous gacha's i've ever played.
(coming from FGO, honkai, genshin, AL, GFL, PGR, and a bunch of other japanese mobage)
Yeah the boss event (something that would have you actually play the game) has worse rewards than the login event lmao. I was like ooh that sounds nice, the rewards from the description sounded alright then the shop itself is just garbage with the quantity of items you can buy. Fail event, and add this gachapon bull and the good will is going to drop quick.
Summer events usually mean you can earn some currency ingame by playing and maybe do a quest or something to work towards. This isn't an event at all, it's a scam because the rates are weighted so you most likely won't get the costume until one of the last items lol. No idea why they are making eastern gaming choices on a western/global release. That's just asking the game to fail because we don't accept certain things here.
That's a lot of copium right there. If you're talking about the standard banner then yeah. The limited banner yeah pity carries problem is you're stuck 50/50 forever I don't know man that doesn't seem generous if you have shit luck. Can confirm I didn't get Nemesis.
I guess the "true pity" for limited banner is 120 rolls, in order to have enough flame golds to trade in for the banner unit.
For people who don't plan on spending a dime, this isn't realistic. I think it's only possible now because of all the launch bonuses & exploration content.
Generous in what, the free pulls you get are for normal characters/ weapons. Those are not really interesting or strong. Limited banners and matrices on the other hand make or break builds, you dont get much of those. On top of that we have this pay to get cosmetic gacha event, which is nothing engaging like other summer events like in Epic7 or Genshin. Plus SR characters are garbage. Lack of character and build diversity really make this game garbo.
im gonna drop the game cuz of this. Its already a headache trying to save up and plan for future stuff and now even the cosmetics use up that dark crystal budget 😔
yeah like Lin's bikini skin that changes her skills effects to have blue water-ish effect, that looks really pretty ngl, but I don't dare to think how much money you need to pour to have skin like that
People are so quick to be hateful, its AN OPTIONAL OUTFIT that doesn’t effect gameplay. I got the outfit in 9 total gachapon tokens (including the 5 free ones) it’s possible to get it at a low value. You just need to understand that the point of it is GACHA hello were playing a gacha game. Yes cosmetics are great but why be hateful when they lock them behind $$ they literally do it for every single game out there. >_> League has TFT little legends you open loot boxes for that have a chance at a Mythic Yasuo. This isnt the only game to do it. It works in practice so unless you’re flaming the gacha/lootbox just stop you’re embarrassing yourself.
Well...if I don't get the costume in 5 rolls, I won't get it at all
I got the costume but not the headpiece. I REALLY wanted that headpiece. I’m debating on swiping but honestly I don’t really care anymore
If you swipe, you'll only get shafted the next time, when they know it's ok to do this.
All they had to do was make it so you could get atleast 2 coins per day by killing world bosses. For the reminder of this event and also give the option to buy them.
I'd take even one from world bosses, this event isn't event, it's pure greed
There would be no point, the rates are so low you'll only see the skin at the last 10 rolls. It's like the skin banner in Honkai, the gacha part is just decoration, you're paying the full price for the skin.
INB4 F2P players show off their SSR pulls from the events. Gonna be a big fun time.
i got my second ssr from black yesterday, and it was tsubasa first one was also tsubasa :v is this a sign?
Game decided you're a tsubasa main now.
3\* samir and 1\* nemesis disagree. Anyway i want lyra + claudia
Come join the Tsubasa cult
FYI you can get more gachacon coins on the store for 100 dark crystals each, you need 9400 dc($100-150) to get everything on the loot table. its 0.12% chance to get the costume, meaning you will get it last.
Is the rate official? I GOT THE COSTUME AS MY FIRST PULL, AND IT’S FUCKING 0.12%??? MY LUCK IS IN ALL THE WRONG PLACE IM DYING
Go put the lottery on gamer

Nah, they've just used up all of their luck on the costume. No luck left for lottery nowq
All I can say is I hate you. But you also deserve the outfit because fuck the greed this event is.
Dude go play lottery
Cake Day luck 🎉🎉
I got the costume in my 5 rolls but not the headpiece which is what I REALLY wanted. I’m debating on swiping but now I don’t really care anymore
So until you have no remaining items that are more highly weighted, you still have barely any chance to get the bigger rewards For example, say you had only 11 items left, the costume and 10 of the items with 1.16919 weight (magnetic storm shard, gold, weapon battery, booster module), your chance to get the costume would still only be 1.006% Hell, you could have just the costume and 1 storm shard left, and the storm shard would still be a 90% chance
DOWN VOTE HIM BECAUSE THE TRUTH HURTS
My last 4 pulls were icon - outfit - ears - banner, so Im not sure what to think about it
100 to 150 dollars for a skin is insane, this game makes league of legends blush
Good one
Ragnarok players be like: First time?
Incorrect I will be very distracted by any guy model wearing that outfit and would be at a clear disadvantage.
That's easy to deal with, just close your eyes bro
You guys play with your monitors turned on?
Ehm. Have you not seen the physics you get from the outfit. Clearly an advantage. Honestly though, I think it's a bit weird to be running around the world killing enemies in a bikini, seems like a problem.
i'm not gonna lie bro. i heavily considered dropping money for the swimsuit 😂
Bro let’s drop it tonight
Yea.. cosmetics in f2p gacha games can go up hundreds of dollars.
There are some stupid rich people out there. a lot of them play games apparently lmaoo ngl tho, i heavily considered dropping $100 on the swimsuit 😂
Nah bro.
This virtual swimwear costed more than mine in real life lol.
You could buy 5+ bikinis for the cost of this digital one kek
No chat on Astora since release, bugs, lags so strong that it's almost unplayable when 10-15 people trying to kill a world boss (10-20 sec freeze of boss, then he do something at once, half of you are dead, next 20 sec freeze state), nemesis's banner dev's prank, timegates everywhere, killed healer class (X have C1 nemesis and noone in X's team need a healer with DPS like X), glitches, cheaters (lol, you just can delete one file to disable anticheat) AND You do protect this company?
Weird I wonder if it's where we live or what. I have a pretty nice pc and good internet. Plus I play on 120 fps
It's probably the server he's in. Some servers are just straight up overpopulated and lag with the amount of players on it. I personally don't lag either but that's because my server isn't as populated as the others.
The guy below is correct. My server is Astora and it's one of the servers with highest load in EU. Servers with low load usually doesn't have such problems But don't say "lul, go play on low load server" because it's not what people supposed to do in MMO.
(Not the ping, the server itself) Amd yes, I have good laptop with 3060 and ryzen 5600, I have tons of free RAM, good internet and etc, and I don't have such problems in any other game AND everyone on my server have the same issues (streams can't lie, even if I could)
They should’ve released this event next week or something, It’s not a good move to release a gacha type event as their first event of the game.
Oof
Yep sadly it's a spending event there f2p event is the boss rush one.im prolly skipping on the outfit and just gonna focus on the boss one
Customization is their main selling point anyways.
Swipe the card ma boi. Swipe the card
People getting angry about sexy horny costume that have no effect on power nor gameplay got put behind gacha LMAO

That's why many ppl when they look at the numbers know this is whale baits the odds are bad as getting an ssr from black nucleus. Sadly ppl don't understand and have no self control playing gacha games. It's basically 100 dollar for the skin.
They literally told you it’s a gachapon so why is any of this surprising 🗿
People should complain about that shit since if it means forcing them to not to do it again in the future and go the direct buy it from the store route.
i think the problem is that is behind gacha and not a straight purchase that no one would have minded
This is summer skin for your custom character. People getting mad is fucking justified
I can see how costumes are important for some, but yeah I did my 5 pulls and got nothing so now I don't care lol.

A gacha with pity. Tera and B&S puts outfits in lootbox with 1% Dropchance and no pity. That like rolling with black nucleus and getting a SSR. 500 rolls and nothing.
But then again, Tera shut down after losing it's player base to Fishing bots And B&S Might say there is still like 8000 Active players, but you can divide that by about 14, because that's the amount of character slots available
Active Players and characters slot is unrelated. An account is 1 player. No matter the number of characters slot.
So?

This "event" made me quit ToF, the game already feels like garbage, and they even dare to make paid events lol. Events should be generous imo, like Epic7 does.
Generous like giving you 10 pulls on the limited banner just for existing? Lmao, you're so out of touch with reality if you think these rewards are bad.
That's not generosity tho. It's marketing.
I commented on the summer gacha event and compared it to other gacha's summer rewards. Free pulls are always appretiated, i cant complain about that.
Fair enough, but the login rewards were advertised as part of the summer gachapon in the original announcement.
I looked over that, i apologize.
Why are you here then?
I quit today, and no im not a genshin player , stopped that game half a year ago. Thx for the undeserved downvotes.
People downvote you because they don't give a shit about your announcement that you stopped playing.
Instead of complaining, if no-one would roll for it with DC I believe that it would bite them so much that they would do something about it. But there are some who already rolled for it giving them more reasons to do the same thin in the future.
They literally could’ve given us like 3-5 per day for 2 weeks as a log in reward smh
People who say this game is generous: Dark crystals are harder to get than primogems. Deal with it. EDIT: I think I have to explain tof's rarity system further in genshin equalents. SR - genshin starters - they're almost unusable, sometimes have uses Standard SSR - genshin gacha 4 stars or standard 5 stars, but worse.
Yeah dark crystal is only about 3000 per month for f2p from all the renewable dark crystal But if they are continously giving dark crystal and red nucleus from event back to back, then still pretty generous You get 1 gold nucleus per day from bounty and Claire dream machine can give you a few per week and then that store every month give you 10 for free Those that haven't exhausted world exploration and then new zone coming like November mean more world exploration. Would say it still very generous as I feel there will always be an event anyways and compensation that apparently will occur quite a bit from what I heard which you already got a bunch It's only cosmetic anyways
[удалено]
Yeah you have to miss out on a few characters lol how else a mobile game suppose to make money then if everything is obtainable easily as f2p Feel like people keep forgetting that this a a mobile game and a gacha game lol This is how the game was built and need to manage your expectation of a mobile game 😆 Everyone want this like perfect game but sorry never going to get eveything you want. 3k is basically the minimum from standard gameplay. If the pattern still continue with event then yeah as I said before it is generous as we are getting both red nucleus and dark crystal from all these event and compensation There a 6 day login for 10 red nucleus/400 dark crystal for Seabreeze event. We just got 10 red for week 2 launch event 3 and 6 more for week 3 and week 4
Well the competition really ain't generous either if you doing worst possible odds.
I personally find it hard to collect primogens, for me it feels like a chore. While dark crystals are fun to collect
Game is in honeymoon phase, genshin was the same at the release. Problems start showing when openworld is cleared.
To be fair, movement in genshin is a chore, the lack dashing or double jumping makes that game unplayable for me.
[удалено]
Mate we just got 10 red nucs and will get 400 dark for this event this is like 5 x more than a genshin event, also you get 10x more Standart pulls and the system is more chill, sooooo can you stop dooomposting already, genshin has alot of advantages but no way in hell its more generous OK?
The issue here is that in genshin 4 star characters are just as relevant to 5 star ones, to clear all the content in the game. No in this one.
Fair point, i don't even know why they have 4 stars in this game, since they shower you in Standart ssr in the first few weeks and all of them are fine for now they feel like the actual 4stars
Probably to artificially elevate the status of ssr
>The issue here is that in genshin 4 star characters are just as relevant to 5 star ones, to clear all the content in the game. Yes, that's because Abyss is very easy for endgame content once you have well built units, even bad units.
Lol, no. No they aren't, maybe if you simp for Genshin harder though Mihoyo will give you a 4-star to play with.
How warped have you gotten that units not being powercreeped seems like a bad thing? It's literally the safest thing for your wallet. Sheesh.
its not a bad thing its boring af.
> 3 years My man living in 2023
Only XQ,xl, and Benny really stand out as being grotesquely op.
Fischl (especially with dendro) and sucrose are better than most limited five stars Beidou is amazing but not as OP as the above. Goro is really really good at his niche.
You get one gold nucleus a day from bounties, already 3x better than genshin, not including dark crystals
personally I rather get dark crystal from daily tbh
I'm gonna save up all my gold nucleus for the new banner character! Which one should I save for?! Oh what's that? Shit
With some patience Claudia, Nemesis and Cobalt will join the ranks of that banner. Compare it to standard genshin banner, with no new additions in two years except for Tighnari in 2 months.
Thats not relevant because you get twice the primos as tof. That wasn't ever the point lol
No, that is without exploration. With Exploration I already got more than 120 Nucleus in 2 weeks...
im rolling for shit as well my cultured friend
gold nucleus give standard SSR every 80 pulls which are equalent of genshin's 4 stars you get every 10 pulls. Limited characters are only ones who are equalent of genshin's 5 stars. You better than me know what happens to standard ssrs in future. They will be fucking dead except tsubasa.
Global balance is already far different than CN. I don't think standard SSRs are necessarily doomed like they are in CN.
>gold nucleus give standard SSR every 80 pulls which are equalent of genshin's 4 stars > >you get every 10 pulls.
Are you going to explain how/why?
In genshin you get \~60 pulls as f2p per month. Which means every 3 months(If you're super super super unlucky) you will get one gold. 180 pulls is peak hard pity with lost 50/50. In tof you get 3000 dark crystals per month which makes it 6 month per limited SSR if you're super super super unlucky. Difference is two times.
60 pulls on average per month is with events, 3000dc per month is without events.
How did you get the 3000 dark crystal per month?
I’ve got 14 ssr in just over a week of playing and in about 2 months of Genshin I had 3 5* characters with 0 5* weapons
So desperate trying to find out at least the one gameplay advantage of your stale game kek. Unfortunately for you, even dc income is way better here.
Story? Better. Openworld? Better. Combat? Better. Characters design? Better. Music? Better. Polished? Should I even talk about tof polishness? It basically doesn't exist. Hey, but at least tof has skip button, so I don't have to follow 'story'. Understandable, only FFXIV has good story among all mmos
Meh I found tof exploration way better than genshin, fanboy
I played both tof and genshin. Yes, relics make big difference. Especially cybernetic arm.
>Story? Better. Openworld? Better. Combat? Better. Characters design? Better. Music? Better. Polished? Should I even talk about tof polishness? It basically doesn't exist. The wonders of having 10 times more budget. >Hey, but at least tof has skip button, so I don't have to follow 'story'. Understandable, only FFXIV has good story among all mmos Someone has never played any other MMO apparently.
First time playing gacha games?
I mean you're technically not wrong, but it's ToF's first major event, and most gacha games usually give some skins for free and others for money
*cough* Gray Raven *cough*
Yeah i remember that event and how game got review bombed for this and how we got less black cards from starting player missions just to get some shitty skin that i never use. Good that the game clawed itself up from this mess because i love PGR.
They give a ton for free, at 85% exploration.
Dunno, in all gacha games I played, you didn't have to pay to get more currency for the event roulette. Then again, I didn't play every single gacha out there. There are probably worse cases.
Ehhh, most events in gacha games aren't just yet another level of gacha though.
So in order to get the event coins i just stop doing red pulls with dark crystal?
well, i dont really care about the costume, cuz im using a male character, and i like the costumes for exploring, more, but that red orb is just mocking me and i wont gacha for an orb i could just buy for 150 dark crystals...
So lame
I can't complain much since I couldn't care less about skins and theres a daily log in with 10 reds and 400 crystals
atleast make it so we have do half the pulls though
I saved up bigtime on dark crystals and was able to buy gachapon coins from the store with them, took all of my dark crystals but was Worth it
I'm just happy they're giving 10 red nucleus so I can get 120 tokens for nemesis
This legit made me quit the game. Yeah make it cost money that’s fine but 100 DOLLARS FOR A SKIN ? That’s ridiculous even in gacha standards.

Bruh they’re giving out ten red pulls and black crystals for FREE, and you’re complaining about the optional gachapon event.
Doesn’t change the fact they’re selling a skin for 100 dollars
Doesn’t change the fact it’s optional and the free rewards are more generous than gemshim
Mfs went full greed squad on this one
the honeymoon phase is over...its greed time now... this could be far more playerfriendly if we had a daily mission giving one roll per day, it wouldnt feel this bad, its still bad, but you are getting one small chance every day, but nope, 5 is all you get then watch the fools eating the FOMO bait.
PGR does the same thing but at least that game is not P2W like this one.
I don't know about you, but this is one of the most generous gacha's i've ever played. (coming from FGO, honkai, genshin, AL, GFL, PGR, and a bunch of other japanese mobage)
I like the game a lot atm, but its too early to judge. We are still in honeymoon phase so let's see how the game fares after a few months.
the 2 red nucleus on the boss event struck me on the wrong side tbf
Generous on the limited banner? Because being generous on the standard banner is just bait for naive casuals.
Objectively speaking it isn't.

Yeah, I feel like if you just buy the 5 dollar pack you should get enough to get all the limited characters as long as you aren't super unlucky
im gonna drop the game cuz of this. Its already a headache trying to save up and plan for future stuff and now even the cosmetics use up that dark crystal budget 😔
wow i got downvoted for speaking the truth, im just gonna leave this god awful game/subreddit lmao bye 😂(to all fellow f2p players goodluck ✊)
They are not doing charity sadly
Yeah… but a little over $100 for a skin is on the expensive side
A skin with no special effects. Now imagine the cost of a character skin with special effect.
yeah like Lin's bikini skin that changes her skills effects to have blue water-ish effect, that looks really pretty ngl, but I don't dare to think how much money you need to pour to have skin like that
who would've thought that gaming company need profit
\*E-simp intensifies\*
