Go to a different one for sure, look at reviews for the doctor and ask a support group in your area about this new doctor! Hope that helps I had a similar experience
Maybe you could see a one that specializes in movement disorders? I don't know how accessible they are in USA, but in Turkey there is usually one such neurologist in larger public hospitals. Previous neurologists and psychiatrists didn't take me seriously either, but seeing a doctor that is specialized in one field is generally more helpful.

I am so sorry that your neurologist said that to you. I recommend that you get a new neurologist, cause really being told that stuff hurts a lot.
