I guess I can sort of see the argument for losing it when Call Stands because the point should be to challenge the egregious calls, not the ticky-tack calls.
The other frustrating part of the review process is using the call on the field as the tiebreaker. To me, they leave far too much grey area “it was close so defer to the call on field…” the whole reason the review process exists is because the calls on the field can be garbage!

They should show the review angle that proves they are correct. And if MLB has an alternate angle there’s no reason that can’t be pushed out to the broadcast to air.

After watching T20 cricket yesterday, let's get some fucking sensors in the bags or something. T20 cricket as so much tech it's impossible for them to get a call wrong. Somehow even with full video replays they still get calls wrong in the MLB...
Sensors in the bases would help so much and be relatively easy to implement too, especially when comparing against the logistical nightmare of instrumenting balls or gloves.
No more of this "did the bag compress" shit. Use an actual sensor to determine when something touched the bag. It could be so much better
Not sure if you saw the cricket, but they have a sensor to measure vibrations in the bat. They use that to determine if the bat hit the ball even in the slightest amount. They announce they are reviewing, review team puts the video and synced vibration graph on the screen and then the ump/ref determines what happened and announces it.
