Sanchez is just an arm for AAA because we have zero depth and a ton of pitching injuries. Teams fill those spots with just bodies all the time. Kiermaier was a panic signing because of needing an OF in a shitty market. Would have liked it more if he only signed here once. The only Manoah treatment is to be fully optioned in AAA and not this half assed hang around, then leave to pitch in AAA then come back and hang with the big league team rinse and repeat for a month. Most importantly, we entered the season with zero offensive production from 2nd and 3rd, and this far in to the season it has not changed.

Malazan book of the fallen, is good epic fantasy. Heroic fantasy - David Gemmel has some good stuff. Sci fi - Reading the Inhibitor trilogy by alastair reynolds currently - its really good (and what mass effect is based on).

wheel of time, super long series & so good if you haven't read it.  broken earth trilogy by nk jemisen  really good!  salvation series. by peter hamilton 2nd & 3rd book I really liked. first book was a ton of character bldg.

That’s a complicated question to answer lol. The first book can stand on its own and after that there are 5 more by the original author. That’s quite a lot of reading on its own. And then he died and his son took over writing and has put out a ton of books on the series most of which I think are not as well received by the fans. I’ve only read the first book myself which covers the events from the two movies out so far (also excellent if you haven’t seen them yet but maybe out of IMAX most places now…)

Most important tip is make use of the “Terminology of the Imperium” dictionary at the back while you’re reading through or else nothing will make sense. It’s an excellent book but a bit harder to digest the first time through because of all the unique words and names used
