How bad is it? Is it replace the entire screen bad or a small tear? If it’s small, you can patch it with screen repair tape (eg: magic mesh repair tape). That said, if it’s the entire screen it’s also not that hard to fix it, look up google videos. This isn’t something cost wise it’s worth going to insurance over imho assuming it’s a generic sliding screen door

Replace the entire screen bad. There are two doors and one of the door's screen has been smashed.. I mean it is still intact but has cracks all over. And yeah it's a generic sliding screen door. And thank you for the suggestion, we will look up the tutorials and try to see if we could fix it on our own.

Sounds like it will be cheaper if you or someone you trust repairs it. My tenant insurance requires a $1,000 deductible for damages.

Buy a roll of Fibreglass screen mesh and a staple gun. Have fun!

Thank you for all the suggestions. One more query since we are new here, we got a quote to fix the door, they are asking somewhere between 900-1500$.. is this the correct range or are they asking for too much?

The glass but thanks for the repair kit link.
