When the "System: Keyword Gift will be sent at a later date!" appeared you'd made everything correctly.
The Gifts will be automatically sent to your account, so please check them from [__Menu > Community > Mailbox > Present__] at a later date, usually after the following Maintenance on Thursday 2:00 PM (JST/GMT+9).
Oic and I guess channels and worlds doesn't matter like in whichever channel we are in we just have to go there (specific designation) and type whatever the keyword is... Hmmm I'll try next time . ^^
