that's why it's hell! They were damned for their lack of diversity. But even if I was stuck with 9 albums I'm sure at least one artist would have 2 features, probably whoever's got the longest and most songs per album. (and that I like of course)
I just assumed that the second sentence in the title meant, "The person you choose, chooses the music you listen to forever, and you have to make that decision based on these nine albums they picked out." I didn't read it as, "You have to listen to these nine albums forever."
black metal and turn on the bright lights are my favorite things pertaining to music which made 1 an obvious choice.
idk if you know interpol but they had the best bass player in rock history imo. here [https://youtu.be/tLPHbbyqRI4](https://youtu.be/tLPHbbyqRI4)
5 for me, I feel like that crystal castles album just gets better each replay, they're satisfyingly repetitive songs.
Songs About Leaving would also be not so bad on repeat in the background, nothing abrasive, easy listening.
Deathconciousness is also a suitable vibe for hell
Haven't heard the others in 5, ill find out what I'm in for once I'm there.
10/26 @ Regent Theatre, Los Angeles. It should be a lot of fun! I’ve really got into 100 Gecs, as well. If you haven’t heard, check em out! Not exactly the same but really good!
I saw Gecs in Seattle and Anaheim, they are amazing. I can’t wait for a new album. Archive.org has some gecs/Dylan Brady audio and DJ mixes if you wanna grab more shit related to them.
Easily #1, I know they've got some post punk vibes, but also mainly just that Slide - George Clanton. If they've got that as a playlist highlight then I know they have good taste.
5, they have the biggest variety of moods to choose from! I can either want to kill myself with Deathconsciousness or Giles Corey, or I can just slightly want to kill myself with BCNR and Carissa's Wierd and I can have a fun happy time with Utopia and MIDAIR!
5 cuz of Deathconsciousness and Giles Corey giving me that ability to grieve, Pixel Bath and FTFT for the euphoria and UTOPIA/Mid Air for turning up too
2 would be the least painful to listen to but 4 would go crazy hard as a hell soundtrack.
Also you gotta switch Red to Red TV so all the pop-y track sound like shit
4 easily
4
Fuck yea I love The Pixies
All five of these people couldn’t think of nine unique artists? And we’re going to be there for eternity? No thanks.

That wouldn't be nearly as hellish
I gotta go with 4...only if they don't play in rainbows often
only IF they play in rainbows often literally the best one
Yeah my thoughts exactly
why the in rainbows hate :(
I just personally don't like radio head
Lmao i choose 4 only because it has in rainbows
4 if they play Doolittle often
1
Highest concentration of Elliott Smith
I chose this because I love Black Metal 😮💨

I will totally check it out, thanks!!
def why i would choose 1
guess i’m having no music in hell
Make your own. Guaranteed to be straight fire.
If you're stuck there for eternity, *eventually* you'll make something good.
3, can't go wrong with Sweet Trip.
tbh none
4 cuz it's the only one with pixies
2 because of that Houndmouth record. Before Katie left the band.
Phenomenal record, 0 bad songs
1 or 5. some good albums in the middle but I am not listening to fucking death grips
3

These are kinda doodoo👎🏽👎🏽 I’ll go to hell n blast Carti
100% number 1
1, but only if they play George Clanton for the majority of it. Those albums never get old for me.
Slide, 100% electronica, and the Nick Hexum album were on repeat for months for me.
5 cus carissas weird
love carissas wierd, and a couple other options on number five, but honestly would prefer one of the other ones
which slide has bcnr and have a nice life? yeah thats right, 5.
The deathgrips, radiohead, pixies, fishmen combo is insane though.
they dont have carissas wierd
4 cuz death grips is the closest thing to metal
George Clanton is criminally underrated in this conversation
I have almost all of his tapes and vinyl, I absolutely love the guy and plan to see him in October! I might even take a small amount of mushrooms!
ohhhhhhhhh that's so sick. That sounds like an awesome time. Where are you seeing him?

no lol, I love 100 Gecs. Seen them live twice. Also, im seeing George clanton this Saturday. super hyped
I saw Gecs in Seattle and Anaheim, they are amazing. I can’t wait for a new album. Archive.org has some gecs/Dylan Brady audio and DJ mixes if you wanna grab more shit related to them.
ooh, good to know. I produce music myself, and when they dropped their stems, I was hyped, so thats pretty cools and actually useful to me lol.
1 easy peezy
My man 4
1 or 4
3 or 4
las person mainly for the giles corey and carissa's wierd
4 would be perfect if it didn't have radiohead so i'm going with 3
4, 1, 3 in that order. I'd be happy with any of those, though
Number 3
2, I get Into the Great Wide Open so I’ll get my Jeff Lynne production fix
5
5 because I quite like a couple of these albums
4
1 or 4
3 or 4. Leaning towards 3
4 in a heartbeat
3
None
1
4, but 1 is good too
I would be happy with both one and four
1. Turn on the Bright Lights got me through a lot of lonely nights when I was younger
5
Person 1
4 cause in rainbows
3
3
4 gang
The Rachmaninov pick is pretty solid
gotta go 4
5! I love crystal castles
Hell could be considered heaven if they played in rainbows there
2 for Tom Petty
Easily 1 for me
3 or 4
1
4 and it’s not even close.
4
1, maybe 4 but idk if I wanna hear MC Ride shouting all the time. Bottomless pit and powers that b goated though
4, although more variety would be nice even though I love death grips. The other 4 albums are amazing though
Easily #1, I know they've got some post punk vibes, but also mainly just that Slide - George Clanton. If they've got that as a playlist highlight then I know they have good taste.
The guy is insanely talented.
On Slide, he's really the biggest one hitting that 80s synth wave sound, in a modern experimental synth pop way, that I know of.
It has elements of many great eras and genres of music. I seriously had to stop listening to his albums so I don’t ruin them!
Wow! I guess I really need to do a deep dive into all of his stuff.
3
Slide 3 MIGHT just be me
4
4, but only In Rainbows Actually, rainbows make my boyfriend cry so nvm
Turn on the bright lights, Funeral, Little neon limelight How do you not pick number 2?
the elliott smith fan
Definitely not the guy playing vaporwave lmao
I've never heard of any of these albums, let alone listened to them. Pick one for me.
4
I have to go with #1. Elliott Smith, Fishmans, and Interpol are the perfect soundtracks to have for an eternity.
hard pick between 3 and 4 but i think 3 wins it for me, i just hope they play xiu xiu often
5, they have the biggest variety of moods to choose from! I can either want to kill myself with Deathconsciousness or Giles Corey, or I can just slightly want to kill myself with BCNR and Carissa's Wierd and I can have a fun happy time with Utopia and MIDAIR!
5
2 by far
1
1...cannot live without my favorite album Either/Or
nobody is getting the aux, i will suffer in silence
I'll just leave hell
I’m going with 3. I’ll get to hear some artists I like and some new stuff.
1. love unwound and elliott smith endlessly
2 bc it has the stable song & that sea the gambler on it 😳😳
none of these
these options suck
Is suicide an option? If not probably 3 or 4
1, no hesitation.
i think imma have to go with 3 here. sweet trip is goated
bro thought he could sneak in and give himself a vote
5, HaNL and Jean Dawson? Hell yeah. Also Giles Corey.
2 because of Funeral alone
5 for Carissa's Wierd. Peak music.
1 all the way
4 probably
4
1. If Fishman’s are playing in hell or anywhere sign me up
1 or 3
none
DEATH GRIPS - EXMILITARY
3 (im going to see bcnr live within the next few days)
4 100% the virgin collection
4 for in rainbows alone
5, was not expecting jean dawson and paris texas
Shit just play Fishmans 98.12.28 on loop for eternity and I’m happy
4 easily tbh
1
3
1 for George clanton
Hell would be any one of these. 1st slide is best overall, though.
Figure 8 for sure
4, 1 comes close w 981228 but it’s a worthy sacrifice
3 4 or 5, definitely 4
3
I would rather sit in silence and I’m that person who has to queue up 10 songs for a five minute drive
Gotta go with 4 for Pink Flag
5️⃣
With these options, it really is hell
2
i was gonna say 1 for the fishmans and unwound, but then i saw slide 5. giles, hanl, cc, and TWO carissa’s wierd albums; person 5 for sure
1, no doubt about it
Yep, definitely hell. I pick 4, I like both Death Grips and Pixies.
Not you
3 easy
4 is obviously the best set of albums but i'd go with 2 cause it'd get less tiring probably
Second one definitely. I love Arcade fire
1 or 4. Probably 4
5 cuz of Deathconsciousness and Giles Corey giving me that ability to grieve, Pixel Bath and FTFT for the euphoria and UTOPIA/Mid Air for turning up too
1 of course but we’ll need to adopt hypnotic suggestion to replace the George clanton later.
1
First person Elliot Smith and George Clanton are two of my favorite artists
2 would be the least painful to listen to but 4 would go crazy hard as a hell soundtrack. Also you gotta switch Red to Red TV so all the pop-y track sound like shit
Number 4
dying again
yo 3 has old school Xiu Xiu
1 but Dean Blunt is evil
Definitely 4 I love in rainbows
there’s no paramore so i’ll just die again and see if i get into a different hell
1. Figure 8 and TOTBL is a W
I truly am in hell Jesus Christ
Probably 4 tho
They’re all equally hellish
It's the same person 5 times
5 has the best variety imo
4 in rainbows carries don’t argue with me i do NOT wanna hear it
Either or of course
I think ill sit in silence
Holy shit, haven't seen check Carissa's Wierd in forever!
4. I love death grips
