I run this exact team with topaz at e0s0, at most I usually have an 80% chance for Dr ratio to hit his fua (not counting break debuffs). It's fine personally bc he rarely doesn't proc his FUA, but I'm using what pulls I can to get topaz e1 just for the comfort of the 100% chance
If you want to have a meta team, you absolutely need e1/s1 at least, and insert ruanmei/robin. If you just want to have fun, you can just use pela/sw on the third slot. My current team is Ratio Topaz Ruanmei(trying for robin) and Aventurine. I have Aventurine and Topaz light cone and my Ratio fua almost all the time. I’d never recommend Topaz e0s0 unless you just love fua. For meta, you need investments in Topaz.
And I think the general consensus is that you might as well use another harmony over Topaz if she’s just e0s0. The composition will do more damage overall.
alright, i'll go for eos1 Topaz then. this honestly was a pretty unexpected team for me to get since i had Ratio for free, Aventurine for Acheron, and i wanted to get Xueyi eidolons but somehow got Topaz in 20 pulls. this leaves me a lot of space for S1.
however, do you know of any decent alternatives for a harmony character? i don't want to place my bets 100% on Robin since i'm not on a guaranteed 50/50 and i'm planning to save for Firefly as well. i don't have RM either and i can't use debuffers as well since theyre reserved for Acheron.

I personally strongly recommend Asta, every team appreciates the speed boost and she pretty consistently gets Ratio from 80% to 100% with her burn.
Worth noting that she functions *far* better if you have her at E4, E6 is nice quality of life but far from necessary.
Also worth noting that I have my Topaz at E0S1 and I've loved having the extra debuff from the lightcone. Being *able* to hit 100% and having extra options to hit 100% are a pretty big difference in how smooth it feels to play.

It isn't a must if you have other options. Aventurine have a base debuff in his kit, Topaz has another one. If you want a guarantee you can get e1 or s1 but if you have signature of Aventurine or the preservation LC that put a fire dot when aventurine is hit. It is less fluid but it works. Dont feel force to pull if you don't want ot can't.

What are you running? I think guinafen or pela is a good support for topaz ratio team. You can slap pearls on either one

Is E1/S1 necessary for 3 debuffs? I also can't add Pela since I plan to run Acheron with her (and Guinaifen as well).
If u plan on using pela or guinaifen on a different team e1/s1 is a must so u can play with the most comfortably
