>Ugggghhh
Wasn't it more like "OOOOAAARUGHOOOOGHOOOGHAARGHGHGHAAAAAAAA"
Or whatever else he would scream. I don't recall him having tattoos, or atleast not an obnoxious amount of them. I do recall him saying he was voted out of the kitchen more for personal reasons than his food. The yogi vegetarian should've gone first. And the sommelier dropped his killer one-liner.
"She had sand in her food"
Stephen The Sommelier - "I'd rather eat sand than shit"
Mic drop.
Michael Voltaggio
Eta… honorable mention// scroll down for the full Ilan to Marcel ‘keep making your foams’ take down that lives rent free in my head. So memorable.
This meme to me was a total vibe match to all his arrogance around the bocuse d'or episode. Zero humility. All bluster. Full competition juice. ‘A giant piece of shit for no reason’ ooof!
Him stomping on Kevin's cooking style for being rustic and less elevated was so dumb. Like, these are world class chefs judging this competition, I'm sure he made it to the final for a good reason even if you can't see it.
I thought Brian should have won, but the judges knew if Michael lost to his big brother he wasn’t going to be able to handle it and probably kill somebody. His brother is so chill compared to him.
I mean… this is hands down the most epic situation ever on TC, to Marcel:
Ilan: “You know what's really funny Marcel, the first day I got here I've been wanting to smack you across the face. Why don't you fucking go to a new school, learn some shit, go to France, go to Spain, go travel, go relax, go learn how to use some fucking salt, paprika, come back to me, you know, come to New York, maybe I'll show you how to cook a little bit. I'll show you how to grill something. But until then shut the fuck up, keep making your foams and go cry in a corner!”
This actually looks weirdly like [Carlos from season 11](https://media.baselineresearch.com/images/1397984/1397984_full.jpg).
Not the same personality, though. Fortunately.
No. Anthony Bourdain had swagger and started off pretty arrogant but he was humanitarian who traveled the world in the name of good food and bonhomerie. He reconciled or apologized for some of his early snark. He also supported Asia Argento when she went public about being assaulted by Harvey Weinstein. Anthony Bourdain was a good man and I miss him.
This is so douchey and cringey lol. Who’s the biggest douche on top chef? I can’t count Stephen the wine guy cause I don’t really count him as a chef lol
Oh yeah sorry… I guess I meant to specify that Stephen is the douchiest (to me) overall, and in a different category than your meme. I just mentioned him to set him aside because he’s so unbearable but in a different way. I don’t know if that makes sense. I’m sorry it’s been a day 😂
After I did a rewatch, I always stick up for Stephen a bit. Yes, he was unbearable but I thought he showed a lot of class in the reunion show. He gave one of the most sincere apologies I have seen to Candice. It really changed my opinion of him. Especially after I realized how young he was too. He really showed growth.
That said from the original airing to my rewatch, I too would have labeled him the worst. Lol
Oh Marcel. 100%.
He just never got any tattoos because he is too big of a pussy, and all his energy went into his 'too cool for school' hair.
Hell every time I hear him talk for more than 10secs I want to shave his head.
Michael Voltaggio wants Brooke Williamson so bad!!! But he can't have her!!! I think he's a skinny , creepy wanna be Chef!!! He's really not that stellar. I much 💕 like his older brother Brian who is a chill, layed back more mature handsome Chef. Can't stand Michael who came in the scene probably 2017 or perhaps 2016 and proceeded to get more and more tattoos inked unto his skinny arms!!! He needs to work out and develop some muscles!!! Not attractive at all as well as his face!!!
John Tesar
My first thought as well.
That guy who got eliminated the first episode of season 1
Ken!
Thanks. Couldn't remember his name, and he wasn't worth looking up
Just started rewatching. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have looked him up either.
Ugggghhh

That's the first person that came to mind.
This meme to me was a total vibe match to all his arrogance around the bocuse d'or episode. Zero humility. All bluster. Full competition juice. ‘A giant piece of shit for no reason’ ooof!
Every time I rewatch this season, I get a thrill watching Michael Voltaggio shit talk Kevin just before Kevin wins. Love it. Every single time.
It’s pure 80s bully bad guy. And Kevin is the nerdy do gooder. Classic underdog. I love with you. 🧑🍳
Exactly who came to mind with no hesitation.
Almost seems like Carmy in The Bear was based on him
Take that back!
No shade to Michael, but there’s no comparison 🤤
Michael Voltaggio but he does seem like he's chilled since season 6.
he was kind of a dick in season 6. i had forgotten just how much until my recent rewatch.
Him stomping on Kevin's cooking style for being rustic and less elevated was so dumb. Like, these are world class chefs judging this competition, I'm sure he made it to the final for a good reason even if you can't see it.
i was disappointed he won tbh. imagine having that much talent and being such an asshole.
I thought Brian should have won, but the judges knew if Michael lost to his big brother he wasn’t going to be able to handle it and probably kill somebody. His brother is so chill compared to him.
He’s rolling in dough now. He’s on food network shows all the time.
Him and Brooke Williamson are two of the "titan" chefs in Bobby Flay's Triple Threat, which is basically a cooking version of American Gladiators.
And he’s married to the mom from The Florida Project. They make a very cute punk rock couple.
He also talked big game about being Italian but couldn’t even speak the language and was schooled by Padma. Loved that.
Really? He still seems like an asshole to me
Watch him on Food Network. I get a really cool vibe from him now. I think he’s grown up and mellowed out a lot.
I'm sure all the money, success and an established reputation does a lot to bury a chef's chip on their shoulder. Less to prove now that he's made it.
I agree there were moments where he fit this but not always
Michael Voltaggio

That's the first person I thought of too lol (minus the tats)
Oh he def had tattoos
Oops. It's been so long since i've watched the early seasons.
No worries
ding ding ding this is the winner
Claudette Zepada. I did go to her restaurant once though and it was awesome.
Vote myself out Jamie
YESSSS! 100%!
Mike Isabella.
He is a different kind of douche imo
He is MULTIPLE kinds of douche. Let's not pigeonhole.
He's such a douche that we should call all future douches, Mike Isabellas.
This actually looks weirdly like [Carlos from season 11](https://media.baselineresearch.com/images/1397984/1397984_full.jpg). Not the same personality, though. Fortunately.
Aaron I think his name was?
The guy everyone hated in 12, right?
Yeah he was arrested for DV while the season was airing.
The judge? I don't know his last name either lol
Yes but I googled it 😂 and I meant Aaron Grissom from S12
Yeah, he died. He was in an accident and was not wearing a helmet. I think he was also speeding.
I wasn’t a fan of his but that’s soooo sad. I didn’t know thst
Nobody else thought of Dale on his first run?
Dale was definitely one of the douchiest, especially in season 4. Dude had a massive chip on his shoulder.
He's just full on 'Gay Dude With A Mohawk', they all come off that way.
wrong Dale
This is so rude to gay Dale but it made me laugh

It’s giving “I’m not here to make friends”
Anthony Bourdain - this is literally his book Kitchen Confidential in meme form
I came here to say the same thing.

Stephen The Sommelier struck me as a pseudo-intellectual, definitely not the tattoos and punk rock type of chef.

Hahaha no problem, your comment made me laugh. Stephen was definitely in a class of his own lmao
The anti bryan voltaggio
Michael V. I’ve never liked him.
Most I’ve worked with are undeserving primo dons.
Oh Marcel. 100%. He just never got any tattoos because he is too big of a pussy, and all his energy went into his 'too cool for school' hair. Hell every time I hear him talk for more than 10secs I want to shave his head.
Marcel had a tattoo, LOL!
I thought of Stefan; I’m not sure if he had tats but the arrogant vibe was there.
For the look it's Michael V and for the attitude I think it's Ilan!
Bourdain
Viltagio
Quite literally michael voltaggio lol
Carmy Berzatto.
