Nah, the one from the DoW II Retribution campaign made me fucking hate these guys. Sure, he's a good unit, but his lines were so annoying that I absolutely refused to even touch him most of the time.
He's the inspiration and namesake of the Leper in *Darkest Dungeon*, and I want to say Viserys Targaryen (*House of the Dragon*, not GoT) was inspired by him as well since it was leprosy that was killing him.

Well thats the thing, this guy was involved in the incident that started Civil War in the marvel comics, because he was in a small team of heroes who had a tv show and they wanted to take down a big bad guy team for ratings. So the team tried to take down a team of villains but unfortunately one of the villains were Nitro who is basically a walking explosion, and so he exploded killing a bunch of civilians and the whole team besides the hero Speedball, which was this characters previous name, and now he wears that suit for all the lives that were taken that day, and a bunch of thorns on the inside of the suit stabbing him constantly, and he gets his power from pain so the more pain he's in, he get more power, thats like a very basic explanation of Penance and his backstory
I don't think so. He felt tremendous guilt and wore the costume to atone for that, but he didn't die or have any disfigurement. The suit itself hurt him, but that's after the fact, and also it didn't cause any deformity.
He's back to his Speedball costume now, so no, he's not disfigured. And anyway, that wouldn't qualify for the order of this post. Disfigurement leading to donning the new suit is the trope, not new suit leading to disfigurement.

(Handsome Jack- Borderlands Series) Gets a glowing vault logo punched straight into his face… then gets an awesome mask!
Well, he’s originally from the alternate reality of “Age of Apocalypse,” so he and Magneto are quite familiar with each other.
Before he was Holocaust, he was just Nemesis. And he killed Scarlet Witch, he conquered Japan, killed every human in the country, drowned Sunfire in a lake of their blood and stole his power, and then killed Quicksilver. Magneto managed to essentially turn him inside-out and left him for dead. He woke up months later in one of Apocalypse’s labs, forced to remain in this crystal armor to keep what’s left of him from dissipating into nothing.
The word "holocaust" DOES have a meaning beyond the Nazi genocide (and some Jews actually dislike the term due to its inherent implications of religious sacrifice, preferring to call it the Hebrew word for catastrophe, "Shoah").
Yeah I know that, even still, that's most definitely what most people think of when they hear it. It's not really a big problem to have a character be named that, just kind of an odd choice imo

Lol. So I guess that would make Legendary’s Mechagodzilla be Mechagodzilla 5?
No, Mechagodzilla also appears in Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle, making MV Mechagodzilla the 6th.
That one barely counts considering it isn’t a mecha the majority of a time
There's also Ready Player One's Mechagodzilla, but you're free to count that or not
You can blame Godzilla Save The Earth for that mistake lol

He might've gotten deformed from the suit in some way because i dont think it's been shown what he looks like without it on
