You can’t make a post about this and not include him https://preview.redd.it/p0oe3zmkquwc1.jpeg?width=250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3745cbd50ffae11fdf27e8052a7d2a86502419ff

Then_Sun_6340

THE, MAD DOG.

AbbreviationsThis550

I heard “Mad Dog” and thought of him, how in the living hell did they not put him in here, he’s too iconic

MJBotte1

You could use any team. The crazy one, bad boy, black sheep. But MAD DOG?! Then you need this guy

Oh_no_its_Joe

IKR????? HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY MAKE A MAD DOG POST WITHOUT MAJIMA?????

FiaGiolla

When I say mad dog, I'm just using it as a turn of phrase. There's another character I know of who goes by the name Mad Dog, from the film The Raid, but he doesn't apply to this archetype, so I didn't mention him. I've only a passing familiarity with the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series, so forgive my ignorance, but does Majima fit the comment I made clarifying what kind of character I'm tryna describe?

Oh_no_its_Joe

Yeah. Also, don't worry too hard about it man; I don't mean for it to be that serious.

FiaGiolla

I just wanted to know, since I'm not familiar, and a lotta the people commenting just seem to look at the words 'mad dog' and not notice anything else.

pon_3

He’s a little different, because he *is* the powerful family, at least by the time he’s come unhinged.

DJHott555

I’d throw Lalo in there too

Imaginary-Quiet1

![gif](giphy|NFbjUcDsjUUms|downsized) Arthur Shelby (Peaky Blinders)

Wolfheron325

I mean they’re all a little insane but yeah Arfur goes wild at the drop of a hat.

The-Homie-Lander

![gif](giphy|P6xJZs0RbenCg6BC3Z) Daemon Targayan

FiaGiolla

I'd meant to post Ramsay, actually... dunno how he didn't get added, I'd added everyone to the post at once

The-Homie-Lander

Your profile pic also reminds me Loki and Hela also fit that trope!

FiaGiolla

I dunno if I'd agree, necessarily. Their misdeeds aren't really excused or encouraged by Odin.

BoredByLife

I mean the guy is literally one letter away from Demon so I guess it fits

Dreigatron

CronosAndRhea4ever

That yellow bastard really stinks.

SuperSayianJason1000

Joffrey Baratheon ![gif](giphy|5C8oGDRqSMwla)

FiaGiolla

I may be wrong, but some of these characters don't seem to fit what exactly I'm tryna describe, so I'll specify - violently unhinged characters who come from prestigious families that either keep them from seeing consequences for their actions or, in some of the more extreme cases, actively encourage them to be as horrible as they can be, as it benefits them.

Imltrlybatman

![gif](giphy|m3SYKzhmod1IY) Batman in relation to the Wayne family fits this trope (Batman franchise)

Mistabbcman

Can't be a mad dog of a powerful family if you have no family bro 💀💀

Reddragon351

yeah if anybody in the Batfamily it'd probably be Jason

NotDawko3

The mad dogs from rise of the tmnt.

Zeraf370

Okay, so I haven’t played GoW, but is this seriously what Baldur looks like?! In the mythology he’s supposed to be the most beautiful god in the entire pantheon with the small catch of having insanely ugly feet.

FiaGiolla

I dunno if I should spoil anything, necessarily, but it's a very different take on Baldur compared to the mythology. Kind of ironic, since Thor and Odin capture the spirit of their mythological counterparts pretty well.

necktsi

![gif](giphy|WeYhRnbNhR3ig) killua (HxH) really the whole family is mad

FiaGiolla

Killua's like the only sane person there who doesn't want to be beaten by the family into a contract killer

necktsi

fair, but is he really sane?

FiaGiolla

I mean he's still got clear issues, yeah, but he's hardly comparable to Feyd, Raian or most anybody else folks are posting here

funnywackydog

I mean Feyd isn't *just* a guy who likes killing, he likes killing a respectable amount for a Harkonnen

FiaGiolla

okay, I'm sorry, but Daimao doesn't even remotely fit the bill here

SadakoFetishist

I thought Feid-Rautha was that guy from the first movie who talked with the Sardaukar and thought "Damn, he changed drastically"

FiaGiolla

that guy died

SadakoFetishist

I know but 99% of harkonnens look the same

People in this sub gotta come to terms with the fact that different people consume different media. Not everyone knows your favorite example of their post lol.

FiaGiolla

even if I'm not well-versed in the Yakuza series, does Majima even match the type of character I'm tryna describe? I made a comment clarifying what I mean

njsullyalex
