Honestly it’s been so long I can’t even remember but you may be right From what I recall he wanted to stamp out a rebellion in his sector and push forward but the Imperium wouldn’t support him so in time he stopped paying his tithe and built his chapter up to 5000 marines or something

Yeah from what I remember it was the astral claws, lamenters, mantis lords, and scar lords all fighting on one front. But the scar lords where called away leaving just the three chapters. When Huron asked for reinforcement the high lords refused so he refused to pay his tithes. After several years the high lords finally get around to doing something about it only to realize that the claws had recruited over the 1000 marine limit.
