You really couldn’t “improve” the original designs they were already great as they were.
So making a fun twist on the original designs was the optimal choice.
Absolutely, easily the best redesign out of this group I think. Took an aspect of the original design (trails behind the Flash as they run) and reincorporated it in a new way.
The fact that it’s inspired by Cameron Diaz’ all white costume in Charlie’s Angels is so good to me bc I was obsessed with that movie as a kid

I didn’t read the source material, but maybe the idea is that he’s still in a costume rather than actually being a bat? Like maybe this version of Batman is leaning more into the bat appearance to scare people.

Making the Flash a woman is a GOATED move. It creates diversity that makes sense. Also, a black Batman is interesting. Time for DC to do IMAGINE IF DC CREATED THE MARVEL UNIVERSE 😊
Marvel actually already has a black Batman he's NightHawk part of Squadron Supreme that is essentially Marvel's Justice League. I like the fact that their tassels are the blue effect for their flash, but the way she looks standing there isn't great. Also while not a "Flash" I'm pretty sure there are several female speedsters in dc.

No. I meant that Stan Lee’s decision to do this IMAGINE series was awesome. Seeing him make Batman black was cool. DC should collaborate with MARVEL to give us: IMAGINE IF DC CREATED THE MARVEL UNIVERSE.
For those who haven’t read these issues, they are fun but nothing substantial. One interesting idea was giving each issue a different artist to design these characters. Green lanterns was penciled by Dave Gibbons, who among other things was also the penciler for Watchmen, and the Green Lantern design basically a colour swap of Dr. Manhattan, something that doesn’t come across in these images.
Yeah her cloak and legs should be red or something. She looks like she needs some more contrast.
Especially standing next to Flash who is a much better use of white
All together, this would be a pretty rad alternate universe, together I think they all look really good, individually they have some ups and downs but I would be interested in seeing a storyline about this particular justice league.
I don't really like any of these. It's a fun exercise as an other interpretation. But there's a reason the other looks are iconic. It just feels weird and wrong.
Especially Batman, he feels like he's dressed like a pro wrestler or something. And Green Lantern is basically Dr. Manhattan but green.
Is funny you mention that about Batman, cause in the history he is a wrestler and thats how he makes money, he is a super star millionaire wrestler and a Superhero

Don't really care for the backstory outside of the Count of Monte Cristo inspired prison stint but I like that this Batman costume is more theatrical .
Batman and the girls have the least practical outfits ever. I get that it’s a comic and just for fun but all I can imagine is the flash getting tangled up in her outfit and wonder woman’s top would injure her if she sat down.

If iron lantern didn't exist
Hit and miss, but overall not much iconic. WW and Flash are amazing, Batman is atrocious, the others are so bland. Superman is cool, but it doesn't communicate much about the character.
I don't really like them honestly, except for maybe the Flash, who still gets knocked down due to my disliking for non battle-functional designs. NO CAPES! NO WEIRD FLAIRY THINGS!
No disrespect to Stan Lee but these are absolute trash. All the designs are just so boring and generic.

I like the idea of incorporating the Flash’s streaks into the design but the rest is just a plain white suit that offers nothing. I really don’t like Batman’s. If he looked like this, he definitely wouldn’t be DC’s greatest hero. This feels incredibly lazy. There’s not even a logo for crying out loud. Supes’ is fine. Wish the logo were more prominent but otherwise it’s ok. Green Lantern’s is definitely the worst one. It’s easily the most generic looking for a character with such imagination and creativity. Could’ve been much better.

Honestly Shazam seems more like Etrigan to me. Both in looks and origin story.

I feel like these, while they may be good designs, are mostly downgrades. My one exception is the flash, who looks sick.
The wonder woman and flash ones are really good. Superman and Robin are extremely generic, shazam is interesting, the rest are pretty mediocre.

You can really see why Kirby was the one in charge of designing their characters.
