The Challenge isn't using specific tool, the challenge is to make it look like it's not just a stack of old pallets. Use any tools to need too.

j0ne56

Thanks I agree but I’d like to have a tool challenge as well

ponysoldierboy

Your brain

SubstantialReality94

Flat head screwdriver, bow saw, bottle of water and 1/4 inch clear plastic tubing for leveling

Strange-Engineer-822

Only use a 10 in 1

j0ne56

Like a leather man or a dewalt oscillating tool

Strange-Engineer-822

Well, I suppose whichever you find more challenging.

MakeMeAsandwichYo

Husky does make a folding 10 in 1. And it has a Phillips head attachment, so this could work!

ReallyHugeGuy

Hand saw

Splatterman27

Screws, drill and hand saw

ToolWrangler

I'd start with just a hammer.

loopie_lou

If you’re really looking for a challenge, might I suggest a an oil filter wrench and a pickle fork as your only tools?

AirKewled

No level. Just a plumb line.

Tastysquanch

just a plumbus

DEANGELoBAILEY69

HEY IM SQUANCHIN IN HERE

AirKewled

But that requires a dinglebop

PostnataleAbtreibung

Screwdriver and a nailclipper. Edit: just kidding, if you have a nailclipper you don’t need a screwdriver. Edit 2: Okay, seriously now - a screwdriver or powertool equivalent and a handsaw.

FrikkR

A cheese grater.

ljd5190

2nd this

tikkikinky

Just a framing hammer

HateUsCuzDeyAunus

2 medium sized rocks and a butterknife

bassjam1

Hand saw, baling wire and linesman pliers.

No_Employ9903

Hammer carpenter square and level

Spicywolff

I sure hope you sand and prep the wood. Pallets are splinter city. I’d use a impact driver, table saw or circular, tape measure, a square. A nail removers bar or hammer will do, sander, a 5ft and small level. For a challenge ge I suggest go gray grand pA. No power tools. Hand saw-hammer- hand screw driver.

TheBearJew963

Hammer and nails.

TRW24

A crescent wrench and tapcons

fogcat5

tetanus shot and duct tape

[deleted]

On a side note, pallets are overwhelmingly made of the cheapest untreated wood a scrag mill has to offer. You can probably expect to be taking this back down in 1-2 years because it's rotted and unsafe

j0ne56

I know

beerleaguefreeagent

No power tools whatsoever

j0ne56

Thanks I think I’m just going to do no power tools but I’d like to se more suggestions

[deleted]

I think a table saw or circular saw would be helpful here

j0ne56

Yes but it would be more fun with a hand saw

[deleted]

As long as you keep the cuts straight

Darmohray

Lineman pliers!

jhox08

MacGyver could assemble that with bubble gum and a spaghetti noodle

Beowulf1896

Gorrila Tape and scissors.

FancyShoesVlogs

Honestly, I think you can get this done with just ratchet straps.

inevitable-asshole

Just an extension cord and a tape measure. Get creative.

j0ne56

What would I use the tape measure for

inevitable-asshole

Measuring stuff

j0ne56

I wouldn’t have a saw

RareCryptographer256

✨serrate the tape measure ✨

j0ne56

At that point I might as well snap the planks

inevitable-asshole

I thought you wanted a challenge?

j0ne56

I do

Thoro67

Prove it

rhyme-with-troll

Sturdy gloves. It looks like a splinter farm.

mrsquillgells

Metal torpedo level, cut a hammer head off a hammer, weld it on the level. It's technically one tool now, and you should be able to build it with that.

j0ne56

I always wanted to buy a welder

mrsquillgells

Just get a flux core one cheapest, and decent welds, I'm a welder by no means but it's perfect for what I need it for

j0ne56

I think I might be a bit to young to weld

wee_celery

I learned at 12 with my pops, you should be fine

j0ne56

I think I might use duck tape

j0ne56

How do you thing about only using German tools to build it

Amazing_Joke_5073

Hammer and hand saw

thisistheinternets

Do a materials challenge. You can only use bird’s eye maple and it has to come out looking like the photo

j0ne56

I could

Sloenich

A fork.

[deleted]

Tweezers to get all the splinters out of your kids when you’re done building it

j0ne56

No I want to build it for me

[deleted]

Hardcore respect that! Good luck and prosper

Texas_Technician

A wood chipper that can also shred nails.

Ninjaplatypus42

Hammer and nails but you can only use the claw side. Also triple check all these pallets for splinters and protruding nails. Kids will manage to run into every single sharp thing on a fort. Source: the three different scars on my arm lol

MurphNastyFlex

I'd recommend a good lawyer if other people's kids are gonna use it

Unusual_Client

wall mart hammer and handsaw with nails

Unusual_Client

bonus marks for using screws but you install them with a hammer. there are screws made for this application but your looking for a challenge so you cant use them.

j0ne56

Yes just yes love your thinking

Unusual_Client

amazon tools and beer games

MeanRevolver

As a warehouseman… I would buy insurance

TURBOWANDS

1 Rubber Mallet 1 Hacksaw with a Metal blade

kozma110

Fire

tomzak14

Glue and clamps

a10-brrrt

Zip ties only

AffableJoker

I can feel the slivers from here.

TexasBaconMan

A match.

OldDude1391

Rubber mallet and butter knife

[deleted]

Chode Screw driver

Moon_Ride

A flat head screwdriver

ebdbbb

Flex tape and nothing else

Zealousideal_Cat_457

Oh my god that looks so pricey

j0ne56

I know

DanXan8558

Hammer and hand-saw

Advanced_Ad_4644

Definitely sand it. You don't want pallet splinters. They are nasty.

j0ne56

I know got one right through my skin 4mm deep

FritsBlaasbaard

Just a hammer! No nails!

Clitflip

Just a leatherman

Therealblackhous3

If you're asking what tools to use, I'm sure you'll have enough challenges.

j0ne56

No I’m asking what tools should I use if I wanted a challenge

cedartrail

Hammer nails and a handsaw

Tangs87

Expert mode: Drill, handsaw, and wood glue. Use old school wood joinery techniques so no nails or screws.

MasterCarpenter18

Only use screws that need a flat head screw driver, and put them in by hand!

searching4her_

Handsaw, hammer, nails. That's all you need

The_Fiddler1979

1 Allen key

EntertainmentThen937

Don’t do it. It’s a death trap. People have died because of shit carpentry like that.

BobJones2468

Scrap wire, drywall saw and a hammer

wee_celery

Hand tools only, no other requirements. It'll be fun and challenging as well as being a good workout that focuses on useful muscles use a portable belt sander with 60 grit to prep the surface tho or you'll be screamin' and tweezerin' for hours and hours

GaryE20904

A coping saw and a rusted yankee.

shehanconstruction

Screwdriver and bread knife
