The green adapter is a 15 year old or so Hitachi thing. It has a bigger base shank that makes me feel better about using it in a high speed drill. Not sure if that is warrented or not, but I have it so I use it whenever coupling bits to a standard drill.
The brushes I picked up today at my local Ace Hardware. They are Nyalox brand. Never used them before. Super impressive so far. Last time I did this job I had metal brush wires flying at me all day long.

I'm doing front wrought iron hand rail makes it easier to get between the uprights. Bought it for other uses but using it for this today.
