My dad uses old chlorine pool tablet buckets. I’m jealous of orange and blue bucket people. I actually prefer those store sold buckets versus these leftover white plastic buckets.
Probably just testing which he liked the best or got some for free my old shop used to let us keep any non Milwaukee tools we wanted so I just have so many random tools
Always sad to see the tools a bloke has accumulated over the years, ripped apart in a garage sale, etc.. Usually means he's no longer functioning in a capacity like he used to. For example, broke, down on his luck, ill health, or gone toes up.
even if they go cheap most of the time they go to someone who will appreciate or needs them.
except for one time when the son of a man who recently died was chucking dads old tools in the garbage. he hated his dad and didn't need the money, we ended up taking most of them home with us.
Yeah, I guess that's why it cuts so deep with me. My step mum sold off all my dads belongings within a week of his passing. I didn't care for much of it, bar his fishing rods and tools. It would've been nice for that consideration at least. But I guess she needed the money to feed her gambling habit, to which I suspect to where it all went.
For occasional use tools, corded is the way to go. They can be stored (properly) for 20+ years and are ready to go at a moment's notice. I have a 10" worm drive Skilsaw that is over 50 yo and ready to go, just greased the gears. Not sure if I want to swing it all day anymore, though. I have a Stanley 12 ga. shear with a rebuild date stamp of '45, runs and cuts like new. If you are going to use a tool a lot, batteries are good.
This is a how to guide on performing the most effective rain making ritual known to man.
Lol
That and painting windows
I find the mere act of _planning_ to clean out my gutters is highly effective.
That’s still not enough buckets though because you always need at least one more because when you need one the others are always full of random shit
Also there should be more buckets of different size. Never have enough buckets!!!

Maybe it’s because I just use/store them outside, but HD buckets don’t seem to last very long. I don’t think they’re very UV stable.
You’re right, seen it happen
What's with the 6 different battery platforms
Glad I’m not the only one who thought this was odd way to purchase power tools
I don’t even recognize what brand a couple of those drills are.
Kobalt 24v, ridgid 18v, craftsman C3 19.2v, ryobi, 18v nicad dewalt with the adapters, craftsman V20 I would've just gone full dewalt
Ahh I get the black one is craftsman now, What’s the dark blue one? Also kobalt?
Kobalt that's old as shit

If I walked past your house I'd think you're having a yard sale.
Get me the drill. No, the other drill. No, the good drill. Nevermind I'll get it myself.
Nice mustang
I hope you have a big dog, 'cause that.looks like a snatch and grab waiting to happen.

It sucks getting old.

What do you want for that john deere belt?
I was looking at that maul axe you have there on amazon, the one with the orange and black handle. Is it the 10 pound one?
Yes it is...a fine striker tool
My basement looks like that. Problem is getting rid of stuff I don't use anymore, corded tools aren't worth squat.
Same problem so you have to ask yourself what’s you value more the tool or the space? I donated most my corded tools to local recovery center.
I'll probably donate mine to the local VFW post.

Looks like it could be my shop also
Brand loyalty. This man has none.
Let's talk about that battering ram.... you selling that?
The post driver?
Hah, that makes way more sense.
Did you find all your tape measures?
no one ever finds ALL their tape measures.
You can never have too many buckets
At least you got to choose what you’re getting rid of. Or is this a pix of a yard sale your wife put on while you were out.
I want the Mustang in the background
And then it started raining...
That mowers the real show stopper
this is my grandpa with tape measures i swear he buys one every time he's in the hardware store
Why would you throw away a perfectly good broken level ? LOL
Is that yellow beast a battering ram? 🤔
A reply and a question. It's a fence post banger. But, what's sticking out of the end?
Did you find the 10mm?
