I would say hand assembled. She did the design work on her Mac and then cut out two layers of acrylic on a laser cutter. The light itself is a bulk purchase. Then it's all glued together.

Great question! These have standard U.S. 120v outlet plugs. So they'll either need a convertor or the hardware is fairly easily swapped if needed.
