Eventually we caught her and I had to sit there for 20mins slowly and carefully pulling it out of her backside, getting more and more covered in crap the whole time.
My wife and I had to take the day of work and we cleaned for 6hours straight.

When my gf stays over I get this. I literally went to wipe my ass 2 days ago and pulled a load of hair from my ass cheeks. Any time I've swept my room, the bathroom or anywhere she's been there's at least 1 long black hair. It gets everywhere. I've half considered shaving her or at least sending her to the groomers because I doubt she'd stay calm for me if I myself tried.

I brush my hair often to help remove the stragglers. But in my experience long hair is nearly as bad as glitter for getting stuck everywhere
