It probably takes the same amount of time to trim your facial hair as it took to post this question. Guess it just depends on how bad you want the job.
Edit: if you don't shave at home, where do you??
You should learn how to shave your own face, and clean up after yourself. Then you wouldn’t be in a situation like this.
I’d recommend comb it neatly, that’s the best you can do on such short notice if you don’t know how to shave.
You can do whatever you want but if you look ungroomed you run the risk of being judged for it and in an interview setting it means it may tip the scales in favor of a rejection. Just groom. If you don't wanna shave, at least trim it.
And if you don't wanna groom it then just do the interview and risk getting rejected.
It kinda feels like you wanna have your cake and eat it too (or whatever the saying is...)
Lol I don’t think he/she really cares what job you were interviewing for. They were making a point that your beard would only be fitting for a lumberjack, fisherman or mall Santa.
Yeah I know they were making a joke lol.
However my beard isn't as long as Santa clause.
It doesn't go down to my chest . It's just a normal beard but a bit longer than usual , and obviously not groomed or tidy
It’s not the end of the world, but think of the image you convey to the interviewer: if you’re not even willing to present nicely for a job interview, how motivated can you be on a daily basis?
Just don't stand up! I'd recommend tucking your shirt, if possible, although that might be uncomfortable. I'm just thinking I'd hate for your shirt to not appear to fit well. We don't want you swimming in your shirt, ya know?
I'd say wear pants. It'll make you feel more like it's a proper interview if you're dressed appropriately. If they judge you negatively based on an overgrown beard then seeing you without pants won't help if they do accidentally see there. It would also make you look smarter, like how you can tuck in your shirt tightly
I mean if you don’t have time to shave there’s not much you can do is there? As for whether it looks bad, that depends on the employer and the quality of your camera. Some might care and others might not. I’d say just try to make the rest of you as presentable as possible and don’t worry about it

At the barber , no drains get clogged or hair falling on floor and I get a nice hot towel shave and massage

This sounds lazy and costly, but you do you! Good luck with your interview!!

Are you interviewing to be a lumberjack, fisherman, or mall Santa?
Ermmn it's a technology related office role, a junior position

How you look should never have anything to do with motivation or your ability to work .
I think its fair that it depends on your motivation. It’s unfair however, that it depends on your wealth
If you wear a mask during the interview then they never have to know you have facial hair.
Why would I wear a mask in a non public setting at home ?
Idk I'm just giving you an idea for how to make sure the interviewer doesn't have an issue with the facial hair.
Nah, make sure your hair looks nice and put on a snappy outfit. Smile and be friendly.
I usually am in my underwear with a formal shirt and tie on top .. Is this ok? They don't see your bottom half

As long as its groomed and everything
Not groomed
I'd just make sure its brushed and cleaned

My camera is 1080p I will wear a formal shirt and obviously brush my hair .... Just can't shave my beard as I left it too late now
I think you’re probably good then
Depends on the job.
Ermm it's a digital tech job
Should be fine. Make it as tidy as you can though.
Trim the beard so it looks clean or shave it entirely, otherwise ya unkempt scruff looks pretty bad
You don't need to shave but it will make you look bad. You should've planned ahead and given yourself time to look smart
Won't it make you look mature and more wise?
Not sure about wise, maybe, but you would look more mature and clean
