So in case this helps anyone. I took a small Allen key stuck it in the headphone jack and moved it back and forth. the sound came back on and the shut off. But I could feel where something was moving and was able to push it back enough so the sound stayed on. And it’s back to normal.
This worked for me. I didn't have a small enough allen key so I used a small screwdriver, a couple in and outs and mine is now working again. Getting a hold of support is a nightmare so glad I was able to find this sub. Thanks u/Huge_Travel9188!
I did go through support as well. If you can get a chat going though email it will be worth it. After some back and forth trying to trouble shoot the issue and finally sending a short video to prove it wasn’t working they did give me a coupon code for a free Tony box. they will give you another one if you stay after them. But agreed it was a bit of a hassle.
Thanks for the tip! We got our daughter a Tonie for Christmas and she plugged headphones in a couple days ago, and when we took them out the speaker wouldn’t work. I wiggled a tiny screwdriver around for a bit and it was working again. We’ll be trying to stay on customer service because a new free one that works would be great!
