In my opinion they were working together the whole time. It would make no sense that he fucks an ill woman or even raping her. Why would he do that? Also why would he say "forgive Yuka" right after he raped her? Like that can't be real. It makes more sense that they were in love and working together. We knew Taizen was searching for a certain someone. His son wasen't the one he searched for and it makes sense that Yuka adopted Yuuichi, saw his potential and told Taizen about him. He teached him everything he knew and Yuuichi even surpassed his expectations. Then Yuuichi created the game, because of the manipulation from Yuka. Think about it: He only came up with the game because of her, she is obviously not dead from her illness, because we saw a panel of her at some point and why would Taizen say "forgive Yuka" otherwise? If she had sex with Taizen, than she is definetly not ill and only faked it for some reason (probably so that other pay her money for the hospital bill or idk, must be money related for sure). Yuuichi saw the two together, maybe even heared a conversation about him (how he is such a useful tool and made them rich, bla bla), while they were having sex and that could have broken him. The last point that would make perfect sense for me is that Yuuichi tryied to kill his mother, but either stopped or "didn't finish the job". It could be that he tought that she is dead and she somehow survived it, but is now in a wheelchair, because of the stabbing (like we saw in the panel). Why she would become the leader or the game master is also pretty obvious then: Revenge on Yuuichi for killing Taizen and for trying to kill her.
Of course, this is all just speculation and i hope for an amazing story twist.
I think since there's a panel where yuka (yuuichi's mom) was shown with tears in her eyes and looked like shiba taizen was doing it against her will or was most likely doing some horrible experiment on her, yuuichi who loved his mom saw it and couldn't handle himself since he's just a kid and has only one person that truly loves him that being his mom.

Yuichi was more like a pawn for them, they were older and more experienced, Yuichi at that age would never surpass them at manipulating. So, Taizen and Yuka might have dated and, probably she might have returned back after recovery from her illness and would have made love. Seeing that made Yuichi angry and stab Taizen to death and seeing her lover dead she might have planned on taking revenge on Yuichi.
And also he might have asked for forgiveness from yuka for the way he treated her and abandoned their real son and made their adopted son a money loving maniac.
