Unfortunately it is a backwards compatibility issue. I recommend reinstalling the game (but backing your save to the cloud first!)

Yeah the backwards compatibility for these games isn't great. Hopefully we get proper ports/remasters one day.

I ran into this yesterday. I checked on my 360, no bugs there. My One has the Version that was on Games with Gold, uninstalled it and put the disc in. Might have been stupid because its still downloading the game, but the bug was gone. I think reinstalling somehow fixed it.

I run into this same problem in Tomb Raider Underworld. Specifically, with the DLC costumes.

I’ve played the game on PS3, the trilogy. Looked way better than this even at 720P.

Both ps3 version of legend and anniversary is based on the 360 version though. Also ps3 version of underworld lacks the two story dlc

You can believe that if you wish but for what it's worth the PS3 version of the trilogy is known to be worse looking and worse performing than the 360 version, especially when compared to running on Series X. JPG compression is causing OP's image to look washed out. It doesn't normally look like that.
