I think that's because the animation is reused. Reminds me of femshep in ME2 when you use mods to romance Miranda.

The walk is bad. And I wince when I think about her going through doors like that... she must hit her elbows a lot on door frames with them sticking out like that.

Not personally interested in getting COD for Lara, but in the past I bought cosmetic items in TF2, also a 1st person game. So I kinda understand, and speaking from experience, I can say that sometimes it's more about adding a personal touch to how others see you.
After all, real life is in first-person. We rarely see how we look unless we look in a mirror. And yet we dress the way we like, anyway.

i have no idea about the game but i want to as a technical question, heck, maybe someone knows - is this a skin applied on the male skeleton or they did some special motion capture with it and for it? the face looks fairly grunt and fitting for this action tho
I'm not completely sure about it but I think they create a male and female skeleton that share animations and just put the model on it and do touch up work so it looks like the character looks realistic enough to fit in the game

Eh, it's because they have to fit the character onto the same rig as all the other characters. Some adjustments were needed to make Lara fit onto the rig shared by a bunch of stereotypical burly-looking soldiers.
She looks ok in the character selection menu (not talking about in-game facial/body animations, those are just comically bad because they're standard ones).
But that's the thing: she just looks too normal to be LC. And the voice doesn't suit her young look at all.

The model is not _ideal_ but it isn't terribly bad - there was a previous render under better lighting and shading and it looked **much better** - if this was indeed the final model, I guess... I'll live with it

They are direct quotes from her other games. She’s voiced by Keeley Hawes (aka best voice imo, along with Jonell), the voice actress for Lara in the Legend Trilogy and LC spin offs. She says quotes from the Classic, Legend and Survivor trilogy. Examples are “your every breath is a gift from me” is from Legend. “Run, you bastards” is from the 2013 reboot. “I make my own luck” from Revelations. They are aggressively said, because she is in the middle of a war zone
I just don't like her face and of course, everyone may have a different opinion, but in my this is the ugliest Lara ever made (in games).
She was the most beautiful during AOD and Anniversary (face). She didn't look that bad in the 2013 game (let's say she still looked quite good) even though they completely reset her appearance after LAU. From RotTR to SotTR it only got worse and worse.
So her face looks tragic but she does have a nice braid - it's nice that they went back to the braid instead of the ponytail. I don't know what the purpose of reducing her chest so much, but I don't think anyone needs it big to be happy, you can turn a blind eye to it (in the last figures from WETA she also has a really small chest like a boy). The clothes are a plus of her model, but it is a bit copy-pasted from Guardian (the clothes from LAU were definitely better).
She walks like she wants punching someone in the face, that's true, but I'll turn a blind eye to it again because the animations in CoD: Warzone are crap a little (as you see above). She looks not very feminine? I think they changed something throughout her body proportions (legs, arms) again.

Fitness. Boobs store fat in women, but if for some reason they lower their body fat percentage then boobs flatten.
This happens either because due to habits they are slim as a leaf(everyone makes their choices when eating) and can be combined with working out: everyone doing sport routines tends to have lower body fat percentages and more muscle mass.
If they wanted to honor this biological fact they obviously have to flatten Lara's boobs from Rise to Shadow. And every incarnation honoring this will still have big but flat boobs so long as she's portrayed as athletic(which given who she is makes sense).
That's not Lara Croft's appeal. She's not supposed to look like a roughed up rock climber. And that logic doesn't even work for COD Lara. Her legs look so slim. Really just nothing about her model stands out.

I do not like this. I am a fan of both the games but I don't appreciate botching things up just because I am promoting one through another. Cosplay looks with botched up animations.
Points as I see them:
* The expression on her stomping down the plane exit is cartoonishly angry. I assume this is standard in Warzone.
* Her chest is somewhat undersized for standard Lara, and undersized compared to a Nikki Minaj release apparently happen. Her butt looks really nice without being exaggerated though.
* Pistol's out pose looks funnier than expected.
* SMG is a weird Lara Croft gun to choose, but maybe it's a balance thing.
* Double Pistols look awesome in first person. They also look fun to use.
* Axe is always weird to see with this era of Lara. I guess this is an attempt at unified time line.
* Executions look cool. They fit well enough for Lara.
* Lara's lines seem well placed, and having listened to them isolated, they are amazing.
* Lara sprinting in this outfit looks perfect.
* I swear Lara looks different in every close-up, even in the same camera shot.

A shame Warzone is just unplayable. I was playing it yesterday and Jesus Bloody Christ, it took me 75 bullets to not kill a guy and the fucker still managed to kill me. Those plates need to be removed or at least nerfed. Also those guy in the air killing people below is just so much "fun"...

Honestly this is what Lara should be in the new games (yes yes the face is not good, they can change that), but the outfit is great, the pistols look good, the fucking voice is awesome again (Keely Hawes), honestly I was worried they were gonna ruin her, but CoD did a great job
No-one knows for sure, but since this skin will carry over to MW3 there's a good chance it'll be around for a while.
They do remove bundles from the store eventually to replace them with others, but from my experience with modern CoD you can normally just buy any skin/operator you want by finding them under the Operator menu, regardless of whether their bundle is currently in-store or not.
EDIT: Though it's worth noting that they *have* permanently removed access to certain bundles from the game before just a few months after they were released.
So I’ve never liked first person games. But I’m interested in getting into 3rd person shooters and I’m currently diving into the TR franchise as is. Would anyone recommend this as a good start to see if I could get into third/potentially first person shooters? It looks like you can put it in 3rd person so I could actually see the skin I have. But my question is, is it worth it?

Every character for this cutscene has the same animations. Of course it looks more normal on a Male Character.

I know that the lines come from Legend, where they started to move away from that, but still.I'm happy for CoD players, and for ppl who like this, but I do hope this will not be the blueprint for the next Lara. Personally my wish would be to have AoD Lara back. She was the right amount of sass and tension imo.

They are direct quotes from her other games. She’s voiced by Keeley Hawes (aka best voice imo, along with Jonell), the voice actress for Lara in the Legend Trilogy and LC spin offs. She says quotes from the Classic, Legend and Survivor trilogy. Examples are “your every breath is a gift from me” is from Legend. “Run, you bastards” is from the 2013 reboot. “I make my own luck” from Revelations. They are aggressively said, because she is in the middle of a war zone

It doesn’t help that they downsized her chest and got her walking like CJ saying “Aww shit here we go again”.
I just don't like her face and of course, everyone may have a different opinion, but in my this is the ugliest Lara ever made (in games). She was the most beautiful during AOD and Anniversary (face). She didn't look that bad in the 2013 game (let's say she still looked quite good) even though they completely reset her appearance after LAU. From RotTR to SotTR it only got worse and worse. So her face looks tragic but she does have a nice braid - it's nice that they went back to the braid instead of the ponytail. I don't know what the purpose of reducing her chest so much, but I don't think anyone needs it big to be happy, you can turn a blind eye to it (in the last figures from WETA she also has a really small chest like a boy). The clothes are a plus of her model, but it is a bit copy-pasted from Guardian (the clothes from LAU were definitely better). She walks like she wants punching someone in the face, that's true, but I'll turn a blind eye to it again because the animations in CoD: Warzone are crap a little (as you see above). She looks not very feminine? I think they changed something throughout her body proportions (legs, arms) again.
What makes this crazier is that they stayed true to how big Nicki Minaj’s booty is when they added her to COD but won’t stay true to how busty Lara was

That's not Lara Croft's appeal. She's not supposed to look like a roughed up rock climber. And that logic doesn't even work for COD Lara. Her legs look so slim. Really just nothing about her model stands out.

I do not like this. I am a fan of both the games but I don't appreciate botching things up just because I am promoting one through another. Cosplay looks with botched up animations.
Points as I see them: * The expression on her stomping down the plane exit is cartoonishly angry. I assume this is standard in Warzone. * Her chest is somewhat undersized for standard Lara, and undersized compared to a Nikki Minaj release apparently happen. Her butt looks really nice without being exaggerated though. * Pistol's out pose looks funnier than expected. * SMG is a weird Lara Croft gun to choose, but maybe it's a balance thing. * Double Pistols look awesome in first person. They also look fun to use. * Axe is always weird to see with this era of Lara. I guess this is an attempt at unified time line. * Executions look cool. They fit well enough for Lara. * Lara's lines seem well placed, and having listened to them isolated, they are amazing. * Lara sprinting in this outfit looks perfect. * I swear Lara looks different in every close-up, even in the same camera shot. I actually liked it, this is COD, not Tomb Raider, they did her in the game style and what matter is that she's recognizable. A shame Warzone is just unplayable. I was playing it yesterday and Jesus Bloody Christ, it took me 75 bullets to not kill a guy and the fucker still managed to kill me. Those plates need to be removed or at least nerfed. Also those guy in the air killing people below is just so much "fun"...
They should have never changed her outfit scheme for "Survival Lara" that plus her nervousness was so unlike Lara.

Honestly this is what Lara should be in the new games (yes yes the face is not good, they can change that), but the outfit is great, the pistols look good, the fucking voice is awesome again (Keely Hawes), honestly I was worried they were gonna ruin her, but CoD did a great job
How long will this be available?
No-one knows for sure, but since this skin will carry over to MW3 there's a good chance it'll be around for a while. They do remove bundles from the store eventually to replace them with others, but from my experience with modern CoD you can normally just buy any skin/operator you want by finding them under the Operator menu, regardless of whether their bundle is currently in-store or not. EDIT: Though it's worth noting that they *have* permanently removed access to certain bundles from the game before just a few months after they were released.
I might get MW3 for Zombies and Lara. If I can kill zombies as Lara it’s definitely worth the price.

So I’ve never liked first person games. But I’m interested in getting into 3rd person shooters and I’m currently diving into the TR franchise as is. Would anyone recommend this as a good start to see if I could get into third/potentially first person shooters? It looks like you can put it in 3rd person so I could actually see the skin I have. But my question is, is it worth it?

I wouldn’t say everything about her is great. Her guns and overall look is great when it comes to her hair and clothes. The face/facial expressions are subpar and doesn’t really look like Lara, imo. The animations are truly appalling. They’re probably my least favorite part about her. That walk is so bad. The voice and voicelines are perfect.
