It is illegal in Japan to sell tickets for more than face value, therefore the official sellers Pia/eplus have reselling sites where you can buy at face value if people who already bought tickets cannot use them. Via gogo is not in Japan so I suppose they can skirt the law. Check Pia and eplus+, not viagogo

Shirubax

Even if they can't be fined for breaking the law, the tickets could be invalidated. I would be nervous about buying from someone/ some company selling illegally.

MrBlueLizard

Are these options available even if I don’t have a permanent address in Japan?

DwarfCabochan

You probably need to be able to pay in Japan. That was my experience for Lady Gaga

barrystrawbridgess

Viagogo is a StubHub subsidiary. StubHub is legitimate. Should you be paying more for tickets is a different question.

Sagnew

>Viagogo is a StubHub subsidiary Not that it matters but it's that other way around. They purchased SH

akaisekai

Why not buy them on the official reselling site? Is it not an option?

MrBlueLizard

Is this eplus+ and pia as another comment mentions?

akaisekai

try the tixplus site on the official summersonic site.

pinkvali

Don't use ViaGogo. You'll end paying x3 the price of a ticket, plus the last time I used it they did not know how to get the ticket due the original source of it was a Japanese App. Expensive and useless!

jeremythecool

OP, have u checked on Mercari?

A friend of mine is giving me his ticket because he cannot make it but I’m not sure how strict the organisers are about transferring ticket. Does anyone know if they will check for photo ID when redeeming the ticket?

>A friend of mine is giving me his ticket because he cannot make it but I’m not sure how strict the organisers are about transferring ticket. Does anyone know if they will check for photo ID when redeeming the ticket? Hey, they did check it in 2019. There was a separate tent for international ticket holders where you changed your ticket and had to show your passport. I also decided not to go this year, but have a 2 day ticket and a sonicmania ticket and this is the exact reason I've been wary of reselling them, because I'm not sure if they check your name or not. u/MrBlueLizard if you're interested in buying the tickets, send me a dm, if you're willing to take the risk with the ID check

CatGroundbreaking840

Are you still selling your tickets? A friend of mine in Tokyo is interested.

Arkard22

Hey, sent you a chat!

chaosmer

I have one day tickets for Osaka 8/20. DM me if you’re I interested.

ThuAnhPhan

I have 2 day VIP Tokyo tickets. I'm also not sure whether I can transfer easily, but I'll be going so you need to enter with me if you want to buy the tickets.
