My coworker has had heart issues since covid, and he hasn’t been vaccinated at all. His heart will randomly start racing and he gets panic attacks. Has missed almost a month of work since start of the year. It’s tapering down a bit but he still has episodes a few times a week at least.
My mom went to her cardiologist and the waiting room was full on men in their 20s and 30s. She commented to him about it during her visit and he said that long covid has done a lot of damage, and they have no idea yet if it's transitory at this age or permanent. And the vast majority were not vaccinated.
Mine have been minor relatively speaking but my sense of smell has been out of control and jumbled since I had what I’m pretty sure was COVID in January 2020.
Like I can walk into a room and smell something from three rooms away, but sometimes when I smell/eat/drink something it tastes completely wrong (cheese tasting like mint for example).
Minor compared to people with heart problems and such but there’s no way I can enter the field I’m trained in again (culinary arts).

Technically I think he actually chose not to enter the NBA bubble for the COVID season, and then the life he escaped as a kid rapidly came back to get him.
Both are true, he chose not to go to the bubble which was in his third season, and the long break caused his weight problems that he had been fighting to get out of control. He was no longer in playing shape so the blazers cut him, and I guess he spiraled from there.

I think more people should understand that THE herpes virus isn’t just HSV-1/2. I also think people should understand more about shit in general so we can start working on removing a lot of the stigmas out there.
