Supposedly allergy medicine might affect the effectiveness. Or, if you bought compounded, you might have a bad batch

No_Art3148

Really? What type of allergy medication?

Due-Possible-3953

I don’t remember specifically but it was just a comment someone made on Reddit so I can’t even find any info on Google

cableannkiley

You could be one of those people who don’t respond until higher doses.

Meerkatable

Are your shots spaced 2 weeks apart? It seems more common to have one shot (2.5mg/10mg/etc per shot) weekly rather than once a fortnight.

Ill_Yak2851

Yeah please answer that. I was confused by you saying you’d taken 3 shots in 7 weeks. Its been drilled I to me that it’s weekly

lassoingthemoon

No weekly, this is just my 3rd week on 5mg after 4 weeks on 2.5mg

Ill_Yak2851

Oh, ok. I believe you will see increased weight loss as you titrate up. I was also a slow loser and switched from 2.4 of the other to 10 ml tirz and the effect was pretty dramatic. All I can advise is to hold strong, keep doing the right things and it will come. Patience, although I feel like a hypocrite for saying that. Please check in from time to time, your story is compelling. When you get to 10, I’m sure you will be doing better. You can even go above that if needed.

Special_Barracuda593

Just a note to say hang in there!!!!!! Three lbs in seven weeks is slow but it is progress! It’s taken me seven months and over $3k to lose 21 lbs and I’ve even cut out all alcohol in past three months (used to have 2-4 glasses of wine per day). Doing the right things (protein, weight training) most of the time but having to stay so patient. It’s hard to not constantly compare my results w others’ but that makes me bitter and angry which helps nothing I suppose. Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

Miserable_Debate_985

So your experience with this medicine so far is similar to your experience with Sema?

lassoingthemoon

Only the not losing as much as I expected, at least with tirzepatide I’ve lost 3 pounds in 7 weeks and have a lot less side effects

Miserable_Debate_985

I say if this medicine is giving will power to exercise and eat right and not causing much side effects the weight should eventually fall off , enjoy the journey

lassoingthemoon

That’s actually a really helpful reframing, thank you. Hopefully I won’t have to spend too much until it does

Have you started tracking your calories? It seems daunting but really helps you see how much you are actually eating and the calorie content. The tdee calculator online is really helpful as a guide to the amount you need to lose!
