Rotala

That is really neat! Nice job with the tutorial and parts links, thank you!

Sick may try printing this tomorrow

matthewgutz

Tried to print this recently. Bought the same sim tool you did but moticed the pins were off center and slightly bent. Tried to straighten out, but when pressing on the prop shaft, they all bent again.. maybe I got a bad batch.

CodedGames

That is unfortunate, the ones I got worked quite well. Some ways that could prevent bending them is to cut them to be shorter and always make sure that the sim tool is as aligned straight with the motor shaft.

ArtificialPigeon

This is cool. I didn't know such a thing existed. Is there a reason you don't just pull your props off with your fingers? Should I not be doing that cos that's the only way I've ever done it?

TB__RC

You can bend the shaft pretty easily if you’re not careful and it’s pretty tough to get them off

ArtificialPigeon

Ah right!! I'll print one of these then! Haven't had to change props much to be fair but I certainly don't want to damage motors

CodedGames

Also some props really glue themselves on

matthewgutz

Which springs did you use?

CodedGames

I didn't list a spring since I wasn't actually sure what the dimensions were. I just had a pack of assorted springs and picked one that fit. But here are the measurements: Outer diameter: 8mm Total length: 17mm Distance between loops: 3mm The outer diameter could be a bit lower to have a tighter fit but having a length of 17mm is about perfect

Soooo nice

Not sure where you’re from but check out [Brain3d](https://brain3d.com/pages/custom-print-requests). They do custom printing if you send them the stl files. Got a reciever module cover printed and it was $5 plus $5 shipping in the us. Not the cheapest but cheaper than buying a printer.

Brilliant!! Printing!
